Wrong attitude. The game may have been troon infested disaster waiting to happen, but it should be their right to make it. After all, the devs are so damaged that they literally were going homeless to keep working on it. The least Lego can do is not abuse copyright and let the game get released even if it was becoming obvious that the game was going to be a laughingstock..

Lego's not the kind of company i've seen shut down fan stuff before this, there's so much custom stuff people sell for REAL MONEY out there based on cancelled lego sets or parts, and there's been over a decades worth of custom lego "sets" sold by people that are unnoficial but made with official parts. Something smells here.

BLEUGH! Lego can bring back whatever the fuck it wants. It brought back and sabotaged the return of bionicle a decade back now (doesnt feel like it though YEESH!) they can do that shit again. They know it sells well, regardless of whether talking heads now parrot the one theory about it maybe not selling well due to the shelf warming skull spiders sets as the go to example. They already STILL make bionicle-esque figure sets but it's all licensed stuff or mechs now. There is no fucking thing blocking them from bringing it back, the people in charge just clearly don't want it right now.

Newsflash! If you followed the game at all, youd know: IT WAS NEVER REAL.
ITS ENTIRE DEVELOPMENT WAS FAKED.
Theyve just shown small vertical slices for YEARS because they never really got any work done, and piled everything onto one guy, who they eventually humiliated and kicked out. Killing the project. The demo that we got was likely cobbled together from a trailer we saw back in 2020. "8 years of work" and nothing to show for it.

And the really insulting thing is that this happenned TWICE. This one just fell apart because the devs are incompetent, and then the developer just died out of the blue, IRL

I looked at the prices for the upcoming wave and the ones for the licensed sets are highway robbery. The little Jurassic World ATV costs $40 when it should be $20, maybe $25 at most. That Captain America jet set is another ridiculously priced one, as are most of the Marvel ones. Meanwhile, the Ninjago, Dreamzzz, and City sets all have reasonable prices (as do the Sonic ones, for some reason). Rate me 
, but this could see a resurgence in original playthemes for kids as people get priced out of licensed sets. Why buy an overpriced Star Wars minifigure pack when you could get a whole Dreamzzz set for the same price?

Unless it's hobby autists resin casting or 3d printing stuff or one guy doing one guy things, yeah it's likely not gonna end well in CURRENT YEAR. Especially if they make trans shit their personality.
I've been over here the last decade now watching people 3d print variants of like every unreleased or prototype lego thing ever, bionicle included. I've seen people literally 3D SCAN OLD LEGO PARTS OR RESIN RECAST THEM TO AVOID PAYING SCALPERS OR GET SHIT IN COLORS YOU CAN'T GET A PART IN. Lego has never once shut any of these people down, lego doesn't do games anymore either save for the TT licensed stuff, and people 3d print shit based ont he figures in those games all the time! Only time I've seen lego go after anyone is shit like leaking sets, and even then they kinda don't do that too effectively. It's really fucking unrealistic IMO that this fan game that was supposedly so close to completion that they had a whole "original ip idea just in case!" gets a convenient takedown for being a bionicle fan game. I haven't seen this shit happen to any other bionicle fan game projects, I haven't seen this happen tot he mods that turn games into lego versions of themselves, why the FUCK would this one be any different? Yes I'm retreading what I was rambling about earlier a little bit but I REALLY gotta emphasize how unrealistic this shit feels. Your description of the situation with the devs also pretty much solidifies my hunch about it being all fake further if development was that much of a mess.
At some point I hope to order some more custom parts off one of the many people out there making them, though I haven't built much in a while I have gotten several masks.
