It only depends on one factor. Killing or saving red head at the very end between ending 4 and 5.
ending 2 if I remember right is saving everyone but shun because as we saw in 3 he disappears.
And ending 1 is the best ending of "saving" everyone.

I kinda expected a lot more interesting twist. Shun being undead is pretty obvious (albeit still dumb). Also if Rose wanted to save people she could just put a sign in the entrance or some shit.

...How many writers worked on this? The way the Oni isolate his targets before killing them and being able to control Takuro point to not exactly a mindless creature that or just plain bad writing

Shun "accidentally" died, woke up a giant blue naked demon in abandon jail/mansion that chased us around, and try to control red head. We had to do a bunch of nonsense puzzles, and get in many life or death chases before, having to boss battle red head by pushing fire into him that knocked him out cold? Shun is now trapped in the mansion as a ghost because of a curse, oh and no one remembers him because of said curse.
Do you understand how insane this would sound? You would be laughed out of any police station at best. At worse they show you a nice padded room for you to get some rest in.
See Heroshi has gotten smarter since we left that cursed place.
I am already liking femboy Takuro again. Man the oni must have been a gateway drug into villainy.
How do we remember him anyway? I still question how this stupid curse works.

Small update about the next update. I was wrong yet again.
There isn't just 1 more ending there 2.
As ending 1/5 is it's own minor choice going down the spell route, and the perfect save them all ending, is ending 0/5(How do numbers work? lol ).
So when ever I get around to it, looks like we got 2 more updates left for this LP.
The Game that keeps on giving isn't it.
@biozeminadae1 Because how else will there be a suitable amount of games to riff on, if the author doesn't try to get overly ambitious and ends up shitting the bed story wise.

We find ourselves in "The Inbetween" as long as it isn't the "Flipside" I think we are fine. Don't know if I could handle the oni eating pizza.

We can see other demon fires around, but they are blocked off so no need to worry.
There only one route you can take for this whole place that lead you to the end.
Every other route is blocked off. And about half in in the screen shakes nonstop.
I should mention for this whole in between area this plays.
Fun thing to note. This isn't the first time I heard it. I kid you fucking not, a boss on the tf2(team fortress 2) ff2(freak fortress) server Disc-FF called Deman uses parts of that for it's rage sound. I was blown away to hear this thing outside of that custom gamemode for tf2.

The oni gets super fast, if you didn't almost perfectly do this part he will catch you. The leeway is very small here.

Here the thing, this is a hidden choice you can interact with red head to save him, or leave. You are on a time limit of sorts.
Because I am doing both endings we just going to leave him first for the second best ending, and then next update we save him.
The game pulls another fucking dick move right at the end. These pits only open up when you one tile away. So you would never know not to stop holding up for it on the first time doing this.
There also two of them.
Desu Ex dead person we didn't know about. Doesn't quite roll as well as deus ex machina.
Rescuing our friends has them say nothing new.
Rose on the other hand says something a bit different.
Ah Yes good old delayed time related drama. I am sure this wont at all come to bite us in a bit.
No need to try to guilt trip me.
