Doug enabled groomers. That’s the headline everyone ran with, anyway. Of course, actually figuring out what happened requires Googling for more than ten seconds. If people had even an idea of what the ringleader was doing on Twitter—which, to be clear, was bordering on stochastic terrorism—they’d be a lot less focused on Doug and a lot more pissed off at the CTC circus.

It was such a weird final conclusion seeing as how Doug didn't pay any of them, nor did he have a legal responsibility to anything they did. Even if all of CTC members were Doug's employees, which they were not, trying to put Doug as any bit responsible for what Justin did would be like saying Boeing condones horse sex. Doug hosted their video embeds on a central hub, that's it.

There's also the fact that a lot of those people are still parroting CTC while CA only did one post refuting some claims, not always well, and then never brought it up again because they were smart enough to know not to draw attention to it. And also the CTC document collects everything nice and easy, but finding out how full of shit they are requires watching multiple videos and finding posts, some of which are gone. Or just realising that expecting Doug to stop everything for ten days so Lewis can film his movie in their studio is unreasonable.

Their epic little coup in 2017-8 or whatever was so cathartic because for 99% of channel awesome creators linkara included it meant permanent irrelevancy. Aside from that monster Lindsay Ellis.

Yep. I'm convinced he still thinks Lightbringer is amazing, he just says it's bad to try and get people to stop making fun of it. But if he did think it was bad, he wouldn't have tried to get other writers to take over the story (Which he then ignored the emails he got about that) and then put it in the public domain, announcing he was doing it so that other people would continue the story for him. The only reason he stopped is because he started dating Viga and was paying her rent.

Yes actually. Civitai has a model specifically emulating Chris Chans art style and it's pretty fucking funny. If I had time I'd try to see if I could img > img Josh's face on that model. Fuck it I should do that later.
