Nothing worth noting except at 2:01:00 Dan gets scared by a mouse and there are mice in the warehouse due to people leaving food out,
What in the flying fuck are they doing over there? There should be no food in the warehouse, period. And if you're allowing it, you need two things: a constant janitorial presence keeping trash cans empty, and employees who aren't slobs who leave half-eaten food on their desks.

Jesus Christ, what's wrong with these people?

How the fuck do you have a mice problem like that because people are leaving food out? and how is this not easily fixed by just removing all potential food sources for mice??? I really do think the explanation is that they are all slobs.

For what it's worth, I haven't watched an LTT video since tranthony and I don't feel like I missed anything. All their videos are about gimmicky shit.

This entire sequence opens so many different questions. Why haven't they brought in pest control? Mice in a warehouse of fabric products is asking you to mail someone eaten, nested in hoodies.
Won't they be legally required to bring in pest control if they know they have a mouse problem? What are the laws in Canada about that?

Also, he calls it a "cat TV". Why even buy pets if you don't have time to entertain them and build them a "TV" which basically keeps them distracted by triggering their hunting instinct all day? I'm not a vet but even I know cats going into hunting mode isn't something they do out of enjoyment, its an unavoidable trigger when they see something that stimulates them. Animals care about the time you spend with them, not the money you spend on them Linus.

But its 2023 so you're cruel to your pets if you don't consoom all the tacky psuedoscientific "toys" that idiots shill online. Seriously, it makes me MATI thinking about this. If animals were this easy and human-like to please, why haven't we domesticated pumas and jaguars and bears yet?

They also don't seem to talk about the Lian Li fan jerryrigging suit in this WAN Show either.

After actually giving their channels a 2nd and 3rd look recently, LTT seems to be sitting and rotting on a literal goldmine. They have the staff (well, number of staff; their qualifications are still suspect) and spare hardware to run and publish very niche tests that smaller techtubers would never find logistically feasible or profitable to do. They could test mice, speakers, headphones, mics, phones, handhelds and almost anything else because they get sent everything by everyone because they're largest tech channel on earth yet they're content trying (and failing) to convince the world that they can compete with Hardware Unboxed or GN.

Considering the funds LTT has available, they should be head and shoulders above the others, not trying match their level. Yet in the places where they do compete they fall hilariously short and in areas the others don't have a horse to race with, they can do nothing better than oohing and aahing and passing it off as a review while claiming its an "unboxing" when called out on their glaring mistakes.

Has anybody mentioned his Threadripper video, yet? Because that was clearly not in his wheelhouse. I don't know - I feel like maybe he should ramp up games coverage on his channel. He has a substantial viewer base that will have that as one of their primary interests. Maybe that could become more of the mainstay of his channel over trying to hype up processors. Honestly, for most user needs CPUs have been Good Enough for quite a long time, now. For those users for whom CPU developments are still meaningful, they really need a different level of coverage like Wendell at L1 Techs gives them.

My god, how more ugly a guy like this can become

Also, I would recommend you guys to watch LTT videos on invidious instances like yewtu.be, just because LTT won't get a metric or view from it

you can watch porn that it would make you feel disgusted without it and because you're intoxicated with happiness, you can ended up conditioning your mind to like more kinky stuff until a point that you're become deranged and controlling it, even kmowiling, is hard because the dopamine bomb.
Can it be used to make people gay(really gay) and how long do you think it would take?

Now now, lads, just because an employee of a media company was caught doing something naughty doesn't mean the company is responsible or its other employees are involved in any way ... lol nope, can't say it with a straight face.

Lock them all inside the building and then burn that place to the ground. Fire is the only way to cleanse this evil.
That's a really bad take, really really bad. Guilt by association is never a good road to go down. Scrutinize the fuck out of anyone around them, but you can't blame a guy that simply works with a guy of being guilty of whatever that guy did.

I sure get the feeling behind it though, they probably are scumbag pieces of shit.

You raise an interesting point. I don't think that LTT is a "technology" channel, it's a spectacle channel. Linus is basically Mr. Beast except he builds expensive computers instead of hosting expensive game shows. Viewers don't tune in to get informative, practical computing advice, they tune in to see whatever the stunt of the week is. LTT doesn't bother trying to earnestly appeal to hardcore computer enthusiasts because they're not his core demographic. Linus doesn't bother performing comprehensive testing because that data is meaningless to most people consuming his videos. He just talks about having "testing methodologies" and having "guys in the lab" because it gives him an air of legitimacy. LTT already has a reputation for being lazy, clickbaity shills. Why would they bother changing their business strategy when what they're doing is already generating revenue? On the contrary I think their casual presentation is an intentional production choice to make the channel more appealing to laymen. . Viewers don't become computer experts by watching LTT videos in the same way that people don't become structural engineers by watching those "primitive construction" videos. It's just mindless content you consume and then forget about fifteen minutes later.

I think these clickbait stunt videos are also designed in a way that makes them more profitable in the long run. The computing world moves quickly. There's not much reason for your average Joe to go and look up "MSI Colgate B450 motherboard review" or whatever six months/a year/five years after that product is released. If you see some review for a random two year old motherboard in your side bar most people are unlikely to click on it. Dumb shit like "my pool leaked and fucked up my PC" or "Look at this autistic girl try to build a computer" is timeless.

It's very telling that after making a big hoo haa with the apology video they waited for the storm to blow over and basically went back to producing the exact same video content they were doing before the controversy. Linus is a snake and a huckster, but on some level I have to respect the grift.

Hit the nail on the head but also reveals the sad truth because it wasn't always like that. His forums are full of people who actually know their stuff and I think there are still ex-subscribers who are still nostalgic for LTT's glory days where they actually shared tech tips. Anthony also seems to have been a a key ambassador for LTT's credibility and currently he's either being rugswept by Linus and upper management or is enjoying all the mental ramifications of being hecking valid transwoman.

His was the first and still is the biggest channel in the tech space and he has the funds to create something utterly unique.

Mega-detailed / autisimo hardware reviews are an untapped market that no normie platform has in its roster. They should've thought about expanding their company's scope before they decided to sink their hopes of wider mainstream appeal with Floatplane. Seeing how much more retarded stuff has gotten on Amazon Prime or Netflix, was it really that unfeasible that Linus could've had his own TV show? Hell, even a Big Bang Theory-like cringefest would've surely sparked in at least one of their heads?

Or are they still believing their own lies and think they're as technical and informative and relevant as they were before?

LTT was the "doing dumb shit for the sake of doing dumb shit" channel for a very long time now, but a lot of their videos from a few years back had some worth to them. Testing how many PCIe risers before you see performance decreases, testing SSD types head to head in an actual real world scenario and not just looking at numbers, their series where they broke an iMac and fixed it with Louis, secret shopper (before the newest one, which they cleared with the companies' prior to the videos???), making the smallest possible gaming PC, running multiple PCs on 1 CPU (which he did like 4-5 varieties of, granted), stuff like that. Funny how most of these are from 4+ years ago.
Now you have Linus loading up his dumbass McMansion with the most idiotic shit possible in the dumbest way possible (so it inevitably fails for the CONTENT BABYYYYYY) and buying stuff of from chinese Amazon saying "wow guys look at his baaaaaaaad this iiiiiis".

Can't farm sponsor money with facts. Why would a company sponsor you if you're going to trash their product, and why would Linus make a detailed, long autismo video if he isn't paid upfront? Fund them with their own money like GN often does? Now you're just speaking pure nonsense, the new Aliexpress 5900 TI is not going to buy itself! Gotta make the 10th chinese dropshipping website PC build!
The lab is 100% an ego thing for him and he knows it's just a worthless lot in the end. For detailed reviews, I find GN's dry humor entertaining, but I know the videos don't have a widespread appeal quite like LTT.

The true hardcore computer enthusiasts watch someone like Gamersnexus or Level1techs, depending on their level of autism. They aren't watching a tranny loving leaf for their tech news and information.
I think it has a lot to do with age as well as how hardcore an enthusiast one is. Zoomer PC enthusiasts tend to love Linus's schtick, but almost every Gen X PC enthusiast I know can't stand him.
