Maybe it's just realization that working at LTT is a massive dead end. Long time workers also might not like the fact how the content is now just minimum effort slop to maximize profits.

Either there's massive internal drama, causing most of the employees to finally wake the fuck up and realize that LTT is owed a death, and the bill is long past due.
Or, LTT group wants to save even more money, and they're realizing that you can hire more juniors and pay them a pittance to replace senior staff. Nevermind the quality.

-Tryhard if-beige-was-a-person Riley gets to pretend he's a real VA as long as he goes with what Linus wants
-James gets to be safe-edgy writer who acts contrarian but always folds because as liberal as he is he knows he needs the money
-Sarah gets to be "the girl" in the nerd group with extra praise so whatever Linus wants is a yes, and is also becoming someone's feeder wish.
-Jake and the fatman (also Jake) gets to pretend he's a srs. bznss car guy and can screw up stuff for free on Linus' dime as long as he just says yes
-Luke is trying to salvage Labs and will take no money in exchange for letting him fix things correctly
-Dan might be in an actual position of power in that he has too many hands on different buttons making him hard to replace right now, he can be bought off
-wannabe communist David seems to be pushed more in videos with his faggy painted nails and visible path to trooning out looking clear
-Elijah seems to have been dialed back a bit in videos because he seemed like the retarded brother mom said to bring along but people got annoyed with, but is still such a nothing of a person he'll do what Linus wants
-Colton seems to have disappeared into the business backend which is smart


If I had to guess I'd say Plouffe will be leaving next, he just does shortcircuit reviews but seems like he might get tired of suggesting something that is always overruled by Linus. You can see in some of his videos he has this sigh of disappointment that isn't fake.

So did Tech Shrek/Tech Fiona, and he was one of the first notable departures. Colton might still be sucking Linus's dick, but I suspect he's not fondling Linus's (non-functioning) balls while he does it anymore.

Yea, when I said before that the one departure wasn't abnormal for an org the size of LTT? This, this is very abnormal.

I'm not sure its a pajeet shift, usually you do that by bringing in pajeets first to try and get them trained, then slowly push everyone else out and realize the pajeets didn't learn shit, just cargo culted it. Rather, this feels more like a reactionary departure. Multiple people out, all at the same time, and doing so while violating LTT policy in what was effectively their notice days. Feels a lot like "What are you going to do, fire me?" type of reaction.

I think Linus might have proposed or started on some new direction for LTT at the senior levels, and gotten a solid "Fuck that" from some of the folks, who're walking out.

Seems like Alex's departure might've unplanned. The informational chaos suggests this, Andy (that other guy from ltt which started zip tie tuning) announced his departure, while at the same time Alex’s departure was being denied, and he himself seemed to claim he was still working there, which suggests something strange was happening behind the scenes and in the end he was suddenly fired. This is also indicated by the fact that ltt and short circuit posted videos he hosted—the presentation of that Defender knockoff or the project of putting audio into a fire truck definitely looked like they were recorded ‘in advance’ to serve as filler during downtime. If he hadn’t been let go suddenly, I’m sure those video uploads would have been spread out over time.

I, for one, am happy to see the decline of LTT. Everyone leaving means the videos will get even shittier than they already are, views will dry up, etc etc. Meaningless rant ahead

I know we're all here to laugh at the lolcow but I have a personal hatred of Linus' videos. I never feel good or even entertained after sitting through one. The worst part is that I keep giving them a chance, only to be hit with the same bullshit every time. The most interesting videos tend to be the ones that never have Linus show up in them, funnily enough. It's all incredibly formulaic and I'm not sure how there are real fans when every video is the same "plot". It's just a surface level analysis of any given piece of tech or ambitious and unnecessary projects that only add to the rest of Linus' shitty management.

The worst videos on LTT are the ones where they review a gaming PC. Around 98% of the video is spent talking about the computer rather than actually using it. This is a problem because if I want to buy something, I generally want to see how it actually performs rather than Linus' poor attempts at humor and meaningless statistics. I want to be able to see the absolute best looking game it can run and how well it can run that. How it performs in day to day usage. This is something that is basically free content. Yet every single time they fuck it up by having Linus play 3 random games for maybe 1 or 2 minutes max. And of course it's all about him rather than how the PC performs.

Lately LTT videos feel like they're made by corporations for corporations. They're something novel and safe that might be played in a lobby on mute. That's probably one of the reasons employees are leaving or hate their jobs.

Not sure if this has been said before, but it is unfortunate there isn’t a channel similar to LTT that isn’t a huge kabal of faggots, I mainly think this due to the fact that the companies that make the computer parts wouldn’t give the shekels to these computer channels without the constant gay pandering.

That's literally why they get paid, shilling and pandering. MKBHD, Unbox Therapy, LTT, Dank Pods(at least part of the time at this point), JerryRigEverything, Mrwhosetheboss, it just goes on and on. Why spend a million dollars on some billboards or a few million on a TV ad when you can just pay a youtube channel $30k to shill your crap and get five million views?

There are "real" tech channels, that aren't just shills and they don't do as well as these others channels because they aren't a bunch of people pandering to an audience of idiots and just shilling crap.
