Pantone is a colour system so that when you design a physical product (dildo, dildo shaped screwdriver, plushy fox for Anthony the furry's collection) the manufacturer has accurate references and what you get is what was intended. Agree. That's for print and physical goods, it allows someone to look at the color in different lighting situations and not just as part of an emissive surface like a monitor. They (among others) make colorimeters for monitors as well. A dimmer screen with [shade of red] in [whatever type of light] might register the same value as [shade of red] with the monitor light cranked up during [night]. To the human eye the same red looks different depending on ambient light or how much light is coming out of the screen even if they are all the same shade of red. Swatches can be a sanity check and the thing Adobe is now blacking out is not color codes but pantone codes corresponding to a color code. It's horrible, I wish I figured out how to pirate Adobe, but it affects actual physical print and such more than catboy hentai artists.

I think the fact that probably 90% of its users can accomplish a good amount of their work on fucking CS3 shows that Adobe has been highly semitic and zionist for well over a decade at this point. The tyranny of .psd files cannot be understated. Don't even get started on Illustrator.

Fucking editing software and the 3D world has better interoperability than the design space and have open standards being released. Adobe needs to be trust busted.

I think it's admirable that GNN try. They come from the same/similar background as Linus, they have no formal education in the things they do, but they spent time and money trying to figure out the 12pin connector thing because they had hunch. -they aren't doing specials right now because their customer support has been swamped since the screwdriver launched and Christmas is coming up.
