Well, obviously a guy that has proper education in the field is going to know how to set up the machine and how to use it properly, but at least Steve is trying to learn, while Linus isn't even willing to learn at least the basic laws of physics, let alone learn how to use such apparatus, so you gotta give some credit there.

That being said, I've never heard of this Greek guy before and this seems rather interesting, hopefully he'll be pumping out more test results soon.

I get why Linus spends thousands of dollars on such lab testing equipment and it is to meet the "industrial standard" for testing, but in reality you don't need such equipment to figure out the specs.
The reason why such equipment are the standard is that it can handle multiple tests at a time or at a continuous flow with minimum sacrifice in performance, not to mention they have to follow legalities, safety protocols etc.

So to me at least Linus is either being a naive techy and thinks that having such equipment makes him the best, or he genuinely plans to do batch QC and testing which is fucking expensive.

Steve does try and he is forthright, but he along with his team has limited knowledge. Again I will highlight the Thermaltake video and the Gigabyte power supply videos. In the Thermaltake video he pushes for a gotcha moment about Thermaltakes % decrease in temperature for overall better performance. Thermaltake is using Celsius as expected, while Steve is "gotcha bro, fake marketing. Physics says you are wrong." The key point Steve was making is that if you use the Kelvin scale that the % decrease is much smaller than advertised. My dude, Kelvin is important when you need to know the kinetic energy, and well it is also convenient. Man, its going to be a hot 300 Kelvin today! The video is entitled "Take Down of Thermaltake's Engineering and Marketing." Sorry Steve, you whiffed this one.

The Gigabyte video burns my biscuits because his employee was comparing the same models of power supplies and highlighting different manufactures of capacitors and transistors. Granted, Chinsium suppliers will look for multiple sources of components. They could be wrongly rated components, but simply being a different manufacturer in of itself does not mean there is a quality issue. This is basic supply chain shit.

I in addition to benchmarks I like Budget Build's occasional test of "let me use it as my normal computer for a week and edit this video on it". That's a good way to benchmark a used £15 PC.
Burke from GN have also said that he's had a Bulldozer since forever and haven't had a problem from a usability standpoint or felt the need to upgrade. That's where benchmark insanity annoys me, so much is good enough.
