Linus Gabriel Sebastian & Linus Media Group / Linus Tech Tips - Narcissistic corporate shill YouTuber driving his media empire into the ground. KILL COUNT: 2

Because at the end of the day, its more fun to roll with the prevailing evidence that the kid is a dick. If your running around kicking animals and being a dick, I'm not going to give the benefit of the doubt that we're only seeing your worst, when its being shown by a father who should understand the impact of how you present yourself on social media.
Linus, himself, is a child. I do not expect Linus to comprehend how he should presents himself, his family, or his business across social media. He is the Austin McBroom of Tech-Lite.
-1:45:00 a person asks about their biggest regret, and it leads into Linus saying he was offered 9 figures for LTT last year (this was brought up in an earlier Wan Show where they were offered to be bought by some big brand company). Now Linus gave a figure of the offer, saying it was 100 million, I'm guessing Canadian. He says he never really considered it because he believes so much in them getting that money back over the next few years but admits 23 and 24 are reinvestment years.
He's lucky LTT is a private company. He would have been sued by shareholders if someone come along and offered 10x what the company is worth.

I don't even think you'd need to throw big piles of money at him directly. Just offer him some funding to do the floatplane idea, but do it right with an actual support structure instead of Linus and his fickle whims. Luke seems the level headed type who actually enjoys building up a company, but has obviously been stifled by Linus and his autistic ideas.

The subscription video service platform idea is still pretty weak, market wise, but its also a growing space of interest so its not like finding willing investors would be impossible.
Luke was also the one that had to be reminded to practice better hygiene during lockdown when the Wan Show was being done remotely.

I get it was a period where a lot of people were struggling, but also one thing is if you are taking calls without video, another if you know you will be in front of tens of thousand of people.

I thought the guy saying linux is training his son to kill was a lunatic, but now I'm not so sure.

Holy shit.

I can see this kid having a youtube channel where they torture small animals.

Wouldn't want to end up like the bed wetter and having a smell of piss always on you.

Except he wants to use it as a content mill where he leeches off all the others. I guess that what LMG is anyways. He wants to be the Andrew Tate of tech.

I keep seeing people say his son has issues, but I haven't actually seen any evidence of those issues. It seems like any thing he does is attributed to behavioral problems (even what side of the couch he sits on), but do we actually know if he has a diagnosis?

Not to say you're wrong, or even that a diagnosis is needed to call him a weird kid. I just feel like everyone has agreed he has issues and are now viewing it through that lens.
His son is a hapa. There are rumors about the kid having killed one of their cats by putting it in the dryer and then blamed the undocumented nanny.

In my experience, even the poor people in the US don't use cash - they use a HUGE, DISTURBINGLY LARGE variety of prepaid / reloadable cards that they can't keep track of and are always fumbling with and it's WORSE than cash.

It would be better if they just consolidated that shit in a bank and used a credit card. You can get them without annual fees and with 1-3% cash back so easily.
most of those people can't open bank accounts because they're blacklisted due to unpaid fees, historic negative balances or they don't because they have child support and other court judgements that will take all the money. it's like when they rent apartments.

Maybe they could try not being retarded?

This is from the brother (originally sister of Linus), seems like a genetic thing.

I thought so too and while the guy(s) saying that likely have problems of their own, I've really come around to agree with them.
@69ing Ur Mom hey bud, I don't have much evidence but i think you were right

Linus's son stuffed their black cat into the drier when their maid was doing the laundry. The drier was turned on again and the cat was killed. So this video of him trying to kick a duck is not his first time demonstrating his disrespect for other living creatures and that's just based off of what we've seen or heard. Linus originally tried to fire the nanny with cause due to killing the cat but she threatened to file a lawsuit (or filed one? I don't remember) claiming that she had nothing to do with putting the cat in the laundry nor turning it on afterwards. Either way, this never went to full litigation and they settled out of court.

Obviously we have no direct evidence that the son did it, but the son is older than the daughter by a few years and is the only of the two capable of manhandling a cat. At the time of the event, Linus has stated that neither he nor his wife were at home - it was just the nanny with the children. Now I'd imagine it would be extremely, extremely obvious if a fucking cat were in the drier; tumbling around, screaming and trying to get out. In fact I would imagine it might be hard to get the cat in the drier in the first place so you'd need some degree of concentrated effort and intent in order to stuff it in while it's resisting. Shadow was not an old cat, either. On the podcast talking about it, Linus said that the nanny was the one who removed the cat from the drier and told him about the event, the result being him blaming her and firing her in spite of their signed 12-month contract together. Linus had no evidence that she had any involvement in the event and I feel like any rational, outside individual might realize that something is amiss with this story. She'd have to be functionally retarded to accidentally throw a cat in the clothes drier alongside a ton of wet clothing from the washing machine and tumble it until it dies, somehow also not noticing the cat screaming as it's being killed. The only other answer is that somebody else did it, and at that time the only other person at the house capable of doing that was his son.

I haven't looked any of this up again because I don't care too much, but I just recall that when it was ongoing. This was within the last couple years.

Hmph kid probably kicked the cat into submission first otherwise they would be covered in scars.

Nanny got a big chunk of money off that one. What will kill LMG first, Linus splurging on things that generate only losses or not possessing a filter and never shutting up about things he should not talk about as a public figure?

Anyone taking Linus' claim of an 8-figure buyout seriously is as retarded as he is. That's the kind of claim I would make if I were a socially stunted manchild continually being reminded of the hole I dug, trying to fish for interest in the business from whichever chink investors I may rub elbows with.

probably thought he sounded reallly coool lol

Its another repeat of buying getting given B2B server hardware """""""benchmarking it""""""" and concluding with yep its fast, with a side order of trying out Tomb Rader with SLI and showing that it is still a broken mess of microstutters and frame drops. Just like the last time they did it and the time before that.
You know Linus is getting ripped off by his writing team, because they have made the same video multiple times now.

Hmph you think he even notices now or does everyone just play the game of take advantage of mildly retarded boss?

Coping so hard now that even formerly meme grade tech channels have surpassed him for actually watchable content. Time to splurge for some new lab equipment to temporarily delay the cope.

Willful ignorance. I would bet it is a systemic problem inside his company from him. Lazy as fuck boss, lazy as fuck writers. Videos like the one i linked are the low hanging fruit of his channel. It all follows a simple format.
Get sponsor to send you server hardware.
Plug it in and run Cenebench on it while shilling your merch.
IT GOT 7000000 GIGANIGGERS SCORE *soyface*
Run Tomb Rader in SLI mode, showing the """""Power""""" of the multi GPUs.
Make comments about TDP and how many watts it draws from the wall and end the video.
That is the general outline of every hardware video they have done in the last 3 years.

I liked Linus when he was making videos in the kitchen. Looking back, I stopped watching him shortly after he went to the warehouse.

Does anyone remember what was his rationale for doing that? It seemed like business bloat, like the time they purchased a RED camera to shoot youtube videos.

I still remember all the cope about muh sampling sharpness from a high res video. IIRC, it was his video guy that talked him into it. And let me tell you guys, video/photo guys will tell you that it's all about composition, exposure, and creativity that makes good images, which is true, but they are also some of the biggest gear heads in the creative industries, especially the video guys.

It's in their nature.

iirc just out growing the house, which is understandable.

I briefly worked at a business that dealt with these typical people. They are literally as dumb as you imagine and deserve to get ripped off.

I remember one time I was depositing some checks and one of our "clients" came in to deposit a check as well. Teller said "hey were raising our rates for cashing checks, would you like to open an account so you dont pay fees?" Guy responded by simply saying no when they do that hell go down the street where its slightly cheaper.

You have to be a genuinely piece of shit for banks in the US to not give you a checking account.
