I've mentioned how I own this set (which is no longer sold with Wiha tips, rip), and I have to wonder, how much would I struggle with the super special LTT screwdriver while taking my whole PC apart and then putting it back together, given how massive it is compared to this Xiaomi one that I had no issue putting in tighter spaces in my case.

Linus marketing that stupid screwdriver to "tech enthusiasts" is one of the dumbest things ever, because a ratcheting screwdriver of that size is more fitted for work on bigger stuff like furniture, not computers. If he really really really wants to pander to that crowd, he could make something like this, but also add additional accessories that would allow you to use it in tighter spaces, like that bendy shaft, or a bit length extender that's thin enough it can reach screws that are recessed in a small hole.

A screwdriver doesn't deserve to cost 80. Go to harbor freight, pick up a set, or pick up a nicer name brand set for the same cost, that are all solid steel and will last 100 years. You don't need a stupid rachet mechanism. I'd I wanted that, I get a impact drill and twist that sucker down in 0.5 seconds.

I thought this mythical Jerry Rig knife was something the guy custome made like his own screwdriver, it's just the standard folding design I've seen everywhere, I have two in my home right now, one in my desk drawer from a supplier who had their name engraved on it as a Christmas gift/marketing gift, and another in the garage shop from a construction wholesale who gave it for free for buying enough supplies.

Works fine. It might not stand up to heavy use but I don't use it that often, and it seems any time I buy some expensive toolset I nearly immediately lose some component and it pisses me off.

The "IT guy" might be this guy Dan they hired for the role and given the non-specific title of "Infrastructure & Technical Specialist", but all know of him from is producing the WAN show. I would think gathering up the topics and preparing for the weekly WAN show would seriously eat into his time for his other work.

They had one of their server upgrade videos recently, and it seemed like the pedostache guy Jake was the person responsible for the server upgrades, yet his job is writer and hosting videos. So he's filling a sysadmin role on the side, but seems generally incompetent. I can remember watching a video a few years ago with Jake, Anthony and Linus doing a server upgrade over the weekend and it being an absolute shitshow. And since then they had a major data loss issue due to incompetence, I assume Jake would have been responsible.

Then we have Luke, that went from writing and hosting videos, to COO of Floatplan. But now he's both COO of Floatplane and CTO of LMG. Apart from hosting the WAN show, his latest visible work is helping put out the fires of the LMG channels being hacked and I'm sure he's having to deal with other LMG incompetence. So probably has little time for doing sysadmin work.

So yes, they should look into hiring at least one person that knows their shit and can focus on the IT infrastructure rather than getting distracted by other work.

Jake started working at LGM when he was in high school, and just continued. If he did any professional development or uni, idk.

Dan also hosted stuff on ShortCircuit (the unboxing, money-generating sponsorship channel) mainly on audio, and has appeared in the mansion videos, talking about audio equipment and helping setting up the stuff.
(This was a year ago, when I was still watching LTT, idk about now)
Dan is basically another Anthony. I don't remember what he used to work as, but it was definitely not sysadmin (or even related to it)

Luke does not appear in that staff page. It would be funny if they are not bothered upgrading it for him, but they changed the name Anthony within less than 48 hours. I think Luke started university in computer science? Or some type of engineering.

Btw, Alex did mechanical engineering iirc, but dropped out. He only cared about cars, and in a car video mentioned how he basically spent his years studying at uni only focusing studying car suspensions. I think he is a big reason why LTT does car reviews at all.
