Looking at Linus' LTT Forum, this is what Linus was doing before the drama
TLDR: someone complained about this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPcXHRXQ-BI ; haven't watched so idk how it is). Linus responded by using the excuse of "timeline were tight!!"
The video was shot months in advance, to the point that key tech announcements that affected some of the info they said came out.
Emails on this matter, which to me does not sound very important, is sent over lunchtime and responded to over lunchtime. Given that Linus is the owner, I doubt that it was a 5 minutes email to write - and the original Linus email is just a link? Zero respect for his employee.

Linus underestimated how important it was to have individuals who were putting in their 200% because they wanted to build something great and that was their first shot. Now Linus probably still expects that start-up mindset from his employees, while they expect a corporate environment with more structure and safety nets
Something is seriously wrong when the owner has to write
The "bring home stuff" is a meme for LTT, and it from the beginning it was clear that it was never something that was openly done for the camera while all employees knew it was not accepted. Nope, get hired at LTT so you get to bring home stuff, that's the approach.
It's a competency problem at every level. CEO/Owners is too far up his ass to see the iceberg approaching; upper management cannot/doesn't want to go against the owner and they barely know anything about tech; writers are not experts but need to pretend to be and then need to work in an inefficient system, they are still the most knowledgeable so good luck spotting mistakes they make!

So, the logistic department is creating such issues that it needs the owner to "fix it"? How about having a culture where people don't steal shit and are not scrambling for things last minute?A really good one - and the video where I actually FOUND the 3090 Ti that we were supposed to send back to Billet... grrr... - is kind of an undercover boss vid where I go and work in our logistics department for the day. This is the kind of thing I'm finding more time for in the new role and is already making a difference to some of our practices.
