I keep seeing people focus on "he should have re-tested the copper cooler". I don't think that's even the worst issue with the video since they point out that their measurements are worthless (though what is even the point then?).

The video has 1.4 million views and mostly positive ratings. This doubtlessly did damage to the small start-up company that was founded less than a year ago.
Contrary to what Linus claimed in his damage control post on the forums, they are also extremely negative about the product from the start, including about things they themselves say they have no idea about, like the gasket thing. They could have asked about the reasoning behind design decisions, but just said they don't trust it and moved on.
Contrast to them giving big corporations passing grades and contacting them to make ultra sure they don't accidentally offend anyone rich.t.
