Live service hate thread - Apex Legends player's EA account permanently disabled after typing "stfu" in game - All games on his account stolen, unable to log in to download them

One thing people don't realize is that this whole thing about "toxic chats" was started by a Riot Games janny and has been spread since 2012. Dude created a whole pseudoscience subset of the pseudoscience of psychology where they insisted that this sort of censorship would literally "cure toxicity", he was also known for personally bragging about getting players banned because he would use his janny powers to find the context of the reports players received and post the logs on reddit to show off how he banned the toxic player for updoots to the left.

This faggot, Jeffery Lin, also was one of the main people responsible for popularizing and spreading like a plague the concept of the Shadow Ban and he indeed partnered with reddit to push it out. He eventually left Riot Games, but not before he did slick talks on "conferences" where he used corpospeak and powerpoints to share his kooky shit.

He left Riot Games in 2016 after his popularity collapsed due to his methods of "toxicity control" obviously not working (not that Riot noticed) and surfaced accusations of abuse by a ex-girlfriend (not sexual, but mental abuse and torment and shit, obviously using his psych shit to keep the woman under him). He worked on another company and then since late 2018? He joined Facebook. Interesting timing huh?

I am willing to be a entire United States Federal Reserve Dollar this EA shit is the child of policies this faggot came up with.

I should not be forced to own pirated and cracked copies of shit I legally own, and yet here were are.
This reminds me. I bought a PS4 to play Bloodborne some time ago, haven't booted it up in a while. So I dug it out a couple months ago and it wanted me to update the firmware to launch the digital copy of the game that I bought for $20, along with $20 for The Old Hunters DLC. Needless to say, I just jailbroke my console and pirated it instead, because it was an old firmware. Fuck this.

I hate how each live service FPS always has to have sponsored monetized content irrespective of the source material or intended theme.

Example: why did CoD: Vanguard, a WWII video game, have to sell cosmetics from Attack on Titan, Godzilla, even Snoop Dogg? Hell, why does MWII/III have operators of streamers, celebrities and rappers?

I opt for aggressive compliance.

I say absolutely nothing in games and I follow absolutely no kind of team composition or strategy. I'm pretty sure that's also what a lot of people have ended up doing at this point as I feel like comms have greatly diminished in most games.

Let them have their toxicity-free games. It'll just end up resulting in games not really having much of a community.

Watching some of these sheep defend the ban sickens me. Why defend a company that's so comfortable with stealing your money?
Do other game platforms also ban you for saying _stfu_ in online chat.png

The same behavior systems will also likely to be implemented with banking accounts and money too, as Canada and China have shown that they can freeze bank accounts for either wrongthink, or for "COVID PREVENTIVE MEASURES".

Long post.
Part 1
I doubt saying "STFU" was the only reason he got banned. A long time ago, sorry no archive, someone tried to paint him got banned for saying Gibby/Gibraltar (an Apex character) is gay, Which the character is actually gay, but it was more than that, the guy had said "nigger" in other offenses and "Why are you gae" meme. The latter he admitted himself.

The ban email.

Part 2
EA automatic banning system.
Ban for saying the word "gay".
a. User says himself being gay.
Apex1.png

b. Saying a character is gay, despite that character is canonically gay in lore.
Apex2.png

c. Saying "F GG", assuming it's typo there or "fucking good game". Since one word is bad, automatically ban. But the issue was resolved and unbanned later.
Apex3.png

d. Ban for inappropriate reference, "My dad works for Nintendow"
Apex4.png

e. Ban for typing "nigero", meaning "run" in Japanese. But it's clearly the reason is how similar that word to "nigger".

And similar case

f. Funny stuff, imagine being banned for reporting racist players.

I recall some shit in Overwatch or League of Legends a few years ago about people being reported for saying "gg" ironically or spitefully, something like that. Probably too ridiculous to take seriously since that doesn't happen anymore, but it's still fucked.

I absolutely loved the freedom on early Xbox Live to say whatever you wanted to your teammates in game and to your opponents in lobbies, like on Call of Duty 4 and Modern Warfare 2. Recently I looked at the new Modern Warfare 3 remake, or whatever the fuck, on steam. It had a news announcement that they would be using a machine learning algorithm to detect players saying naughty no no words and banning them for it. More than the fact that they'll ban you, I cannot stand that they so brazenly admit to collecting all your voice chat logs and just doing whatever the fuck they want with them. I'm not going to allow that. Never hit "ignore" so fast on a game before.
I once tried to appeal a 30 day Rocket League ban after typing out nigger one character at a time by saying I slipped while typing GG.

It didn't work. Also fuck games as a service. It ruined Halo among other games.

What I fucking hate is how live service shit creeps into every other series. Take Far Cry 6 for example, it feels way more like shit like The Division with how everything is a menu and how the progression system works. I fucking hate retard consoomers and whales for keeping this shit going.

I can't help but blame players along with the corps. Everyone has gotten so soft.

Today's gamers cannot comprehend getting shit talked in chat while me and buddies zerg rush their base and dumpster them in SC BW. Or calling them a faggot over proximity chat in Halo as I tea bag their corpse.

Should we bring back bullying bros?

It was Dota 2. People would say 'gg' in the first 30 seconds of the match if their teammates picked stupidly or spitefully if anyone died for any reason. People whined to valve about this so much that 'gg' was added as a trigger word to forfeit the match, which lead to at least one unintentional forfeit during a tournament.

I tried to find the clip but it was ~5 years ago and since then they've apparently added a 10-second forfeit timer when it's called, so all the video results are just incidents in pro tournaments where a pro uses the GG emote (because of course that triggers it now too) and immediately apologizes.

Really hate how even the good live service games get eventually worn down to being homogenous slop. Dota 2 was a blast when it everyone really sucked at it, chat/voice was unmoderated and half the skills were pure bullshit. There was a good 3-year period with no cosmetics or microtransactions too.

I also remembered hearing about a some-what similar incident, where a Korean Brood War was punished for typing a chat command incorrectly. I don't remember which command he was trying to type though.
