What I've surmised from the law debacle in this thread is that a lot of people don't see CP as a moral issue, which is why everyone was talking past each other about different things. That is, a lot of the free-speech people here seem to see CP from the legal perspective: it's not bad because it's made for/consumed by pedophiles, only because it is created by hurting a real child. By the same logic of "lolicon is a harmless alternative", an AI trained on a curated dataset of regular images of children and adult porn, used to produce realistic CSEM is morally fine but should probably be banned because pedos would pretend their CP was AI-generated to get out of charges, and it would legally muddy the waters otherwise.
If there was a way to prove that the CSEM was AI-generated, like a legal but controlled substance (or "ethically sourced chocolate")? Since a crime wasn't committed in making it, these people's logic dictates that it'd be "protected free speech", just like lolicon. If you frame the "it's not a real child" argument in this way, you start to understand how someone can defend it: their only issue with CP is the way it was created. Why are you attacking lolicon? No child was harmed in the making of it, moralfag! The moral (as opposed to bare minimum legal) approach to CP/pedophilia is mocked. More often than not, an “Anti” can articulate what they love so much about the medium and showcase their favorite series, while explaining why those series resonate with them. They're fans of older and more obscure titles that often showcase what the medium is capable of. They usually hate fanservice because of how distracting and immersion-breaking it is.

Since I started Sporking Mushoku Tensei, my research has shown that its not even a well-written. The way that the light novels are written makes me feel as though I'm reading middle grade fiction, with adult themes shoved in. There's too much exposition and a lot of “telling not showing” when it comes to the writing. After doing some further research, I've come to the conclusion that 99% of Japanese Light Novels are derivative slop. The type of slop that panders to the Japanese version of Soyboy incels.
I'm not so sure about calling them real fans. Using the word Anti has become as watered down as calling someone you dislike a fascist or anything similar of the sort. It means absolutely nothing as it stands now so there's no need to go over it in that regard.
I've met some of those "antis" who have a very shallow liking for a show or game that mirrors the lolifags incapability to like something without children in it. Most of the time, it's related to the lesbian yurishit fetishists who has to make a series about something that it's not. Rather eerie in comparison to how similar they are.
