I used to think this is all it was, streaming anonymously with the bonus of a cute character. Never paid much attention. I really should have known it would devolve into this in the blink of an eye.

I thought the same thing and even entertained the idea of using an avatar for streaming for a little bit, for lazy days/privacy. I'm not a fucking wierdo, and so when I see cute illustrations, "oh, that's cute" is pretty much as far as the thought goes. I feel it's somewhat because it was written by a woman. Dungeon Meshi is another fantastic series with none of the usually horrid trappings of anime/manga - also written by a woman.

Contrast with Soul Eater. Which, while good, kind of had a bit too much fanservice for my liking. Some of which did creep me the fuck out on a future watch. I was about 14 at the time I originally watched it and didn't understand shit, but that cat made me feel very funny.
