"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

Am I retarded or are some episodes not on madattheinternet.com? example
I tried using odysee but playback stops when you turn your display off on mobile (cringe). Josh, please tell the odysee devs to fix this.

You can still resume it when the screen is off if you have something like a pause/play button on your earbuds.

There's some audio level issues and minor mistakes worth correcting. I'll have it uploaded first thing tomorrow. Run time will be about 70 minutes.

Thanks, this does work. Also works if you have an extra physical button mapped to play/pause media such as the bixby button with bxactions.
Also sorry if I sounded presumptuous in my last post Josh, I just assumed you had more of an in with the odysee people since you've talked about them before on stream and it's a good feature that mobile users should have. Jewtube restricts background playback to the premium version, but you can bypass that with youtube vanced on android. If only the fucking archive channels weren't shoah'd. REE

I would if I was an itoddler but as I said, youtube vanced on android has all the premium features, including no ads. Highly recommended.
For a free and open source (FOSS) alternative (for Android users only, sadly), NewPipe is also worth using (installable via the equally FOSS F-Droid software repository). It has a download option in different video resolution options (good for archiving lolcows' videos for Kiwifarms), is ad-free, has an excellent Picture in Picture (PIP) function and is quite light-weight. It also doesn't provide any views for any videos watched, so that's useful for lolcows one doesn't want to give any clout to.
Use Brave as your web browser app and enable audio playback with the screen off. It's much easier to use and works for all sites.
Brave is also a great choice and highly recommended for that ability and as a browser in general.
Brave doesn't have ads either, it's easier to use than vanced, it works with other video sites, and it's a better browser than the other ones period.
Probably because there isn't Bromite on iOS, and Chrome doesn't allow add-ons for mobile devices. Nor does Firefox on iOS. Brave, on the other hand, has native ad-block and tracker-block on iOS.

Null, there were a full eight teams for the tug-of-war game.

Whoever designed that movie theater deserves an award BTW.

EDIT after finishing the whole video:

I agree the final scene sucked. It's out of character for #456 to now want to take it upon himself to tear down the whole organization. I can't help but wonder if the original script had him get on the plane but it was changed because I imagine the Netflix contract has some wording along the lines of "we reserve the right to create sequels to your work if we so desire" in their deals, thus leading to seventeen seasons of overrated stupidity like Stranger Things.

Besides that, the most annoying part for me was the scene on the cliff with the cop (who I think was supposed to just be a municipal cop, not a fed). If he felt like he needed to shoot the overseer (who IIRC wasn't pointing a gun at him at the time), why did he just shoot him in the shoulder? He was nearly at point blank so it doesn't make sense that he just missed. I think it would have been more in character for him to have surrendered and then tried to escape to continue his subterfuge after that, especially after his brother revealed himself and offered to bring him in on it. Also, even if we presume all of the files he tried to send from his phone failed, the call still went through, and the police (and I presume the cop's family even though none is shown) know he's missing under mysterious circumstances, so wouldn't they be looking for the island now with info from the cell phone's records? When I saw this I assumed this was setting up a scene where the police would raid the island at the end of the series and that Chekov's bombs in the tunnels would play into that, but instead he just gets shot and falls off the cliff and presumably dies (though the series has set up that we can't trust offscreen deaths, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's still alive in the inevitable unnecessary Season 2) and nothing comes of it.

For that matter, the part where the cop is exploring the records room and shows that the game was played multiple times a year for a couple decades… that means that thousands of people a year were disappearing. Even if they all were just poors, most of them still had families who noticed their absence if they were like the main characters we saw here. Surely this phenomenon would have got the police's attention decades ago. That's a major unexplained plot hole IMO.

That said, I did enjoy the marbles episode. I think it showed that #456 was just as capable of cheating and subterfuge as his friend when things got desperate enough, and forced him to reflect on that and feel guilt for it. Him not killing his friend in the final game was supposed to be the end of an admittedly shallow redemption arc, I think. That said, if his friend wanted to kill himself, I think stabbing yourself in the neck is probably one of the worst, most painful ways to go. If I were him I would have just accepted the bullet to the head instead.

Also, all the games were supposed to be based off of childrens' games, but what game is the glass bridge part based on? Is there a similar game in Korea I'm not aware of?

I did not see the relationship between #456 and the Nork as romantic, but the Nork's actress was a qtπ even if also flat as an airport runway.

All said, I liked the series on the whole, especially compared to stupid boring overrated dreck like Stranger Things. Hopefully it's not ruined with more seasons, but I'm sure it will be.

If you need to fill some time, there's always this antiracist children's book/author to enjoy.

Jesus all them claim. How the fuck does anyone still do review stuff on YouTube, this is nuts.

I thought the last episode was a set up for a second season so I wouldn't be too optimistic. Plus it made fuck tons of money I think? We will almost certainly get more seasons.
You either need to be like YMS in that you know your rights and will aggressively pursue said rights at times at great expense, or you end up like Sfdebris and a flood of DMCAs cause you to end up on stuck on your own hosting site for a decade as you end up having to migrate your over 1000 videos every year or two as video hosts die (plus the knowledge that another heart attack, broken hand, or chimney literally collapsing on you and your son from your will cause most of your 20+ years of work to disappear if you end up disabled).

Overall, it's a pretty shitty area to get into nowadays if you don't butcher the clips for youtube (or just use static images since non-music audio doesn't cause nearly as many issues) and then upload the better versions to a secondary host the way e;r would, since you either end up burned out from cutting out all the fun bits or spending more time fighting robo-copyright claims than making videos if you try other methods.

i think nostalgia critic took the third route. create cheap costumes and use those to create skits representing scenes in the movie.

If you're having trouble viewing the content make sure you're in the "S'more" tier and check the product page. You should see something like this. I'm working on getting the Candyman on it too. No idea why releases are done like this, I must be doing something wrong.
