I've always gotten the impression that a lot of the Tumblr-cows you get are somewhat okay people, they just often take ideas like acceptance and identity to crazy levels. A lot also tend to be quite young, so that probably contributes to it. I can just imagine some middle-schooler or high-schooler thinking, "Yeah, I agree we need to accept non-traditional orientations and identities." They probably start out with good ones, such as being accepting of the trans community and the like. However, they don't know when to stop, a few blogs later, they're online ranting about why people are bad for not accepting fictionkin. All of that said, it's a descent into cowdom based on principals of acceptance.

The loveshies, on the other hand, tend to be vile people in real life, just as they are online. They become what they are over rejection and problems with women, and come to uphold and defend a vile and repressive belief system as a result. They tend to start on this road a bit later than their Tumblr counterparts, typically in later teen years after numerous problems and rejections, so it tends to be a bit harder to shake off. And with all of that said, it's a descent into cowdom based on the principals of despising one sex.
