SJWs, when Wikileaks exposed emails that embarrassed Republicans: "OMG, Wikileaks is a true and honest source!"
SJWs, when Wikileaks exposed emails that embarrassed Queen Hillary: "OMG, Wikileaks is such gross made-up garbage!"
Wikileaks has always been problematic. For one thing, the closed organizational structure is exactly the opposite of the kind of structure that can be trusted, and each individual personality there is a potential point of failure. They have been even worse about protecting their sources than the media they criticize so much, a la the whole Adrian Lamo/Bradley Manning thing.
While Manning going to prison was pretty much the proper legal result, it was utterly reprehensible behavior to goad a mentally ill person into fucking himself that badly and then snitching him out, and then WL did effectively nothing for the guy they raped over and exploited.
For years, they've made their own public personalities the center of everything, and in the case of leader Julian Assange, it's a particularly repellent, narcissistic personality.
In short, nobody should be all that surprised that WL has turned out to be a vindictive, self-centered entity that is more concerned with its own imaginary "prestige" than with any notions of transparency or neutrality.
Leaks like this still do serve some important interests, among them reminding everyone how idiotic it is to trust things like email servers and Internet communications, but that doesn't necessarily make the organization itself or the people involved admirable at all.
