Always fun to see a furry with power fantasies, and the fact that they are without fail the most passive, impotent people I've ever met just makes it more entertaining.

This is also like the hundredth time or so that I've seen a furry claim that IT professionals are all or mostly all furries. I find this really hard to believe but, has anyone seen any proof of this? Or is it another unrealistic part of their fantasy world?

This guy is just a gem, he really is. And while his fears of furry 'art' sites vanishing are probably unfounded, it would be nice if the Net Neutrality repeal did cause them to fade away.

Uh.. that's like, EVERY furry I ever met, straight or gay. The straight female furry artists I ever encountered certainly had those characteristics.

The "Furry IT person" is an old stereotype among furries dating back to the early days of the fandom, when it attracted nerds who posted to places such as Usenet. At one time this reputation was so prevalent that a tech company put in ads asking for furries back in the mid 90s, in an attempt to get more quality employees at the time.

There's also quite a few furries that can't use tech properly, such as Dragoneer.

The fact that a tech company was actively recruiting furries because they had skills they needed due to their weird internet hobbies is kind of beautifully weird, and a brilliant move. It makes me a little sad that programmers now are generally socially well-adjusted people and not complete freaks and they go around gentrifying places and buying expensive coffee or whatever normies do.

I’m skeptical about how effective that hiring campaign was. My experience with furries in the professional workplace is that they seem to spend all of their time tweeting, viewing furry porn, and blogging.

And most of those tweets and blog posts were about how much they hate their job.
