RF energy is difficult to concentrate to the same extent as light (i.e. lasers) and subject to the inverse square law. To "fry" or even disrupt even a consumer drone is a power hungry affair. 0.6mi is pretty good, most drones aren't even visible from that distance, and detecting them via radar isn't going to be easy because they can easily hug terrain until the last second and at a distance may not be distinguishable from large birds and ground clutter. I don't think there need be any worry about faraday caged drones, you can't really cage the motors and their wires and the windings within the motor are probably a sufficient target.
None of this has ever made any sense, especially the barrel length restrictions and SBR stuff. Most SBRs are still over 26" OAL and are SBRs because of the barrel alone. A bullpup with a longer barrel and a >26" OAL is not an SBR even though functionally it's equivalent from a "concealable because of the length" argument, all "pistol" ARs would be SBRs full stop if the law was intent on this "concealability" thing and the barrel length would be irrelevant, only the OAL. Not open to interpretation, no gray area like what we have now. Current US gun laws are schizophrenic, make felons out of good people while doing almost nothing to thwart criminal subhuman scum, and are an infringement of a constitutional right, plain and simple.
Also, bans on suppressors and sawed offs don’t even make a lot of sense from a gun control perspective considering many countries with much stricter gun laws than the U.S. still allow silencers and some even allow SBRs/SBSs.
