The Military has selected PCP Tactical to provide Polymer cased 7.62x51mm Ammunition, Specifically Ammunition loaded with M80A1 and M62A1 projectiles. Soldier Systems indicates that this ammo is intended for use in the M240 series of machineguns, Which is curious because Big Army put out a contract for 6.8mm conversion kits for 240's separate from the main NGSW contract. So the only logical explanation is that Big Army said to hell with converting 240's to any kind of 6.8 ( from what I understand the conversion kit contract was open ended and not stipulate that the conversion need to use any particular type of 6.8mm) and is going with Poly case 7.62

I mean all of this stuff is going to be phased in slowly if it manages not to die at some point.

So my last drunk buy showed up. I have a S&W 38 now and .... well I didn't know or wasn't sober enough to remember. I have a gun but I DO NOT HAVE A FRAME.

I'm pretty amped and tbh I spent 75 and bought other shit I needed so what ever. I'm going to figure how to un fuck my retarded self, but I'm thinking making it some gangster as fuck fitz special. I only own 2 wheel guns (both hand nuggets and they are SHIT) so building one will be a cool lesson and maybe sucker me into stuff like a Matabe.

Is the beavertail on a AR pistol grip for asthestics or what advantage does it have over an A1 grip.

Also are parts from PSA any decent like their fire control group or charging handles or safety selectors?

Steve Dettelbach is your new ATF head janny, thanks to Manchin and Tester.
Thanks Montana and West Virginia for electing Democrats like it's the 1980s. Trump tried to get rid of that cunt Tester but Montana had to insist on him.

I like the beavertail grips mostly because they place the web of your hand further back from the trigger - as someone with long fingers/hands, it means less crooking my finger to get just the pad on the trigger face. I'm perfectly fine shooting with an A1 grip, but stuff like the Magpul K2 or the BCM Mod 3 are more comfortable/natural feeling to me. The two I mentioned also have a more vertical grip angle, which again is mostly personal preference.

At $20 and a couple of minutes to install, it's easy and cheap to try a few out to see what you like.

Edit:
As for PSA small parts, I don't have any experience with them - all of my rifles mostly use the Aero basic LPKs without the FCG or grip, which are pretty reasonably priced (~$30), combined with BCM CHs.

do GLAWKs really limp-wrist a lot more compared to other polymer-framed pistols? i saw a video where i think they compared a 19 to some CZ and the 19 performed pathetically. obviously yeah you gotta hold it the right way and shit but what if you're in a stressful situation and don't have time to do that?

PSA LPK is ok, I've definitely used better.
My luck with them has been alright.
If you can afford better get it.
Aero or even Anderson is probably nicer.
CMMG makes a good LPK.
Larue MBT triggers start around $100 and are damn nice.

Every pistol is susceptible to limp wristing IMO.
Some more than others perhaps.
I've never had a Glork have a limp wrist malfunction even when intentionally trying to make it happen yet that exact same gun on the same trip malfunction when my father shot it.

Can anybody give me some good advice regarding plate carriers, gunbelts, etc? I've never worked with anything more than a sling when I've been out hunting, but got the sinking feeling that I might need a bit of kit in the coming decade.

If you want hard armor, stay away from AR500 or other steel plates. Even when coated in bed liner, the spalling (shattered bullet fragments) can injure or even kill you. Go with ceramics only.

You also want them NIJ Certified. Not "rated", certified.

Yeah, I've shot plenty of steel targets and seen the splash tear up everything around them. I understand the concept of the armor material itself pretty well, I've luckily got two RMA 1155 multi-curve plates I bought a while back. The part I'm a bit overwhelmed with is choice of plate carriers, the attachment methods (Molle, Velcro, Hooks, etc), then you throw in chest rigs and belts...

I'm not particularly interested in the tacticool larping I see around the internet a whole bunch, just something practical that I could cover decent distances in.

A cheap Chinesium one like Condor should do, if you're only planning on using it for SHTF.

Buddy of mine used some Condor stuff in the service a few years back, he told me don't go with anything Condor because it falls apart under prolonged use. Right now I've got a slick carrier, a triple mag placard and some cummerbund with elastic pouches. Having issues trying to find proper attachments that work because this carrier has no MOLLE on it (most of the stuff I'm looking at is connected via MOLLE), I think I can probably add some or sew it in myself. (Also, I don't buy Chinese)

How does the placard mount to the slick? There might be a way to get a MOLLE placard for the front.

If there's nothing compatible you may have to pick a placard with preset pouches as close as possible to what you need and get a MOLLE cummerbund for the specifics.
If you can sew in the attachment points you need it simplifies things.
