there was a transitional period in the early to mid 80's when they still had round trigger guards but offered newer finishes in stainless, electroless nickel, and chrome. Tanfoglio started making their frames and slides around this time and so did IMI a bit later on in 1990, but by that time the squared trigger guard was the design for the "B" and "BD" models. SN's should be from 145xxx through 154xxx.

Cole Distributing was the importer of CZ back then, as was CAI and EAA. DWJ still has pre-B imports sometimes.
I got a better look at it today. The slide is marked 88, and Polis.

Just do bill drills and El Presidente. One will help with recoil and getting used to the trigger and the other will help transitioning between targets.
I do pretty much every drill, bill's probably the best one to start with.

Fun fact since null wants to move back: Florida pretty much bases their requirements to carry a gun for a G-license (required for private security, private investigators, and similar non-cop gun jobs) on el presedentes. IIRC it's 48 rounds for points at 5-10-15 or 3-7-15 yards, it's been years since I've done it.

how about you suck my ass

I could just create a thread called "weapon accessories" or "kit" or whatever but guess what? I don't know shit. If I did, I wouldn't be asking. So no such thread exists.

If I had the kind of mind that could predict all possible concerns regarding energy and utility for every object and classification of object in existence, so much so that I could perfectly plan out a series of questions off initial concerns, I would probably be the single most valuable part of whatever logistical organizations exist and I would be paid millions of dollars to theorycraft.

But no, I'm not that, so it doesn't occur to me until I'm looking at giant headsets that there might be concerns with fit and pressure.

And the price of these things starts at $300 and goes up to thousands, so not getting shit that doesn't fit comfortably is worth writing a second post for.

Dicklicker.
You came up with like 2 or 3 questions of your own accord removed from any post guidance that could have been combined into a single post, this is a extremely bizarre rambling

For example say your looking at headsets, the obvious questions are size, quality, durability, ect., on the other hand if a post tells you about/mentions built in comms or add on comms after and you didnt know such a thing existed because thats more of a larp mall ninja thing most people dont know about and isnt an obvious thing appropriately you might add an aditional post asking about that topic as well later on

The video below is pretty informative in general and goes through allot of different aspects of hear pro and active protection with different features and I suggest you watch it. Do your own research on the actual headphones they are shilling and compare them obviously though with other brands of of the same caliber. Yes they are brown, yes they are fat, yes there is cringe shit, yes there is a retarded skit at the beginning you can skip, but thats basically all gun channels and they cover allot of information you might not know that will help you

and remember, it aint that deep

I just discovered that CT, IL, NY, and WA have bans on threaded barrels. What the fuck? If you're concerned about gun safety why would you want people running around with fucking smooth-bore muskets?

I confused threaded barrels with rifled barrels. They've banned suppressor attachment points.

It may not be THAT retarded (yet, god forbid), but it's still pretty bad for the same as your initial reason. They say they want gun safety but push towards a de facto ban on things like suppressors and flash hiders that help keep you from deafening and blinding yourself.

You're going to have to add a few more gray hairs to the slobbermutt when you're finished in this thread lol.

You're missing the point that somebody completely outside of the gun world doesn't even have the knowledge to ask the question in the first place. Sometimes you need to ask questions in sequence if you're unfamiliar with the topic. Besides that, your posts did more to derail the thread than Null just asking an additional question or two. There's no reason to get this upset about a few extra posts, you don't have to read them if they upset you so much. Grow up, literally the worst aspect of the gun community is the few elitist nerds like you.

I don't care if Josh asks several questions. That's what the thread is for. Josh is learning about firearms, to the autistic tune of a fresh face getting seriously into firearms outside of call o duty gun cool.
This is the equivalent of answering the same questions my new gun friends, mother in law, son all ask. And I will be happy to answer each one, several times if it means that they
A) Don't get gypped
B) Don't get clipped
C) Don't get flipped.
Remember, we were all faggots at one point who didn't know what barrel twist, MOA, or ROF meant.
If Josh shits up the thread asking the same questions with variation, it just means the thread is more active and our Dear Feeder eventually learns all the things that let him post like any of us.
Now that we're featured in the big thread collection, expect a lot more of this. Which is awesome, because for every 5 faggots that wanna calluhdoody, there will be one that comes out as a cool gun dude a la the people already here.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
It's always funny to me to tell the anti gun people I talk to that in America, nothing is outright banned. All those "scary guns that no one can buy" are legal with the right tax stamp.
But all of the things that provide better safety are what is regulated. Vertical grips for stability, shorter barrels, suppressors to make them more hearing safe.

i'm all for null being a tier one operator but until he just goes and gets good with shooting a pistol and rifle his premonitions of prancing around with a bolter while tanking shots from crossbows are gonna make him keep wanting more special answers

edit: hell, go get some stoners off the forum and play paintball with them.

Tell me you wouldn't fill with pride in 8 months seeing a fit Josh in his best gear making MATIs off his phone while he rucks for 5 days under full load camping out in da alligatuh swamps o Florida.
"Yeah, so someone sent a link to this tran-hang on......SKERDOOOOOOOSH........sorry, I saw a wild pig. Heart shot. Gonna make a stone fired pizza outta the ritz crackers in my buttpack with him later. Anyway, this tranny someone sent me is a retard."

i am almost certain you said this exact same thing before not even a week ago. don't make me find it.

guess what? if someone steps onto a property with a gun owner there's like a 95% chance they'll be holding an AR-15 or an AR-10. It's not secret information.

if four people roll up with intent to kill they're going to be carrying the most expensive body armor they can regardless. i'm not talking about fucking niggers with stockings on their head. these are men with male brains who probably post on /k/ because /k/ is trannies.
100% but a lot of Kiwis have tried to shift the conversation to pistol and they're making good points. Most assassinations happen in public.

I wouldn't worry so much about defending your Kool Kiwi Kompound. You'll have the home advantage, and most 30cal rifle rounds will knock down and demoralize people, whether it gets through L4 or not.

I've been wracking my brain to think of a pistol round that will cause the same devastation but I can't think of anything. As many Kiwis have said, it's going to come down to focus of fire and rate of fire.

However, I do reload a strange pistol round for a buddy that's pretty rare and intense. 400 corbon. It's a 45acp necked down to a 40cal. It's a hot round and is meant for bear and panther defense but from a semi-auto glock.

I load it to about 1500fps with a 135gr JHP

This is the damage they do to 1/4" dimond plate steal at 10yards, from a hollow point no less. I know that doesn't mean much to a newbie but think about it like this. Those are my pistol targets, they've been hit by 9mm, 40S&W, 45acp consistently for the last 10 years. Do you see any other bullet indentations?

Edit: added testing pics.

Is there a de facto standard for brand when it comes to ear protection? I've heard there are earphones which can filter out loud noises while passing through voices and shit, but I don't know if those are memes.
I don’t like the headphone things because my skull is apparently a weird shape and they always leave a gap.

I’m very particular about my earplugs - they need to be the ultra soft kind because the hard one hurt my ears. You can kinda hear through them and have conversations but you might not be able to hear someone walking.

Exactly. It's a matter of convenience. What's easier, sneaking onto someone's property and breaking into their home without tripping any security system they might have so that you can ice them, or just following them to the supermarket and blasting them in the parking lot?

But its comfortable to shoot, has a great grip, great weight, good action, is made in germany where they generally make good guns, and is reliable.
i'm not saying Taurus as a company in general is great or even good. they do have some specific decent products (TX-22, Raging Bull, Judge, and the PT92/99 series). as the one stand-out exception to other Taurus products, their Hue 92 clones are refreshingly good since they have a history making them properly for decades both for military and police use as well as exports. i, and others, have worked with them for years without trouble in film, and many more use them as cheap Berettas in general for security or personal protection since they were at one point half the price of a genuine Beretta.

in essence, i'm saying if you were to put a modern Taurus 605 next to a modern Weihrauch Windicator with it's cast alloy frame (vs the 605's steel frame) and rough machining on what should be a much more precise action, complete with poor forcing cone fitting and too high torque making it prone to cracking, or unfortunate tolerance stacking that leads to misalignment of the pawl or hand, or cylinder and barrel, the Taurus comes out looking better. if you want a cheap revolver and don't want to take chances but a used gun is squicky, the next one up is an Armscor revolver.

i do vaguely remember that the 605 is close to a J frame in size and the Windicator was larger, so for comfort in the hand that's definitely something to consider. and sticking with .38 spl (even +p) in the Windicator should be alright as long as everything else lines up properly.

also i wouldn't lean into "German = good" too much. "Kimber = good" and "Colt = good" falls into the same trap. they have some products that are absolute garbage. there was a point where they were cranking out crap into the British market, then after the war, they had a lot of shit and cleaned up their act in the 60's into something worth having. however you always get shitter companies. Rohm is one of them. Rohm made absolute crap revolvers on the super cheap purposely for export into markets that lacked precise enough machine work locally to make revolvers. the super cheap imported pocket pistols fell into the same box, but were a cut above. Rohm's RG-10 was cast alloy with cast parts finish machined on worn tooling and hand filed to fit without further testing and sold to compete with ring of fire guns from Raven Arms (and derivative).

Weihrauch isn't Rohm and make pretty decent air guns. the Windicator is competent and safe. for the $300 price point it's hard to beat, but it's not the only one at that price point and there are arguably guns available at that price point.

Walker or Peltor with a shoutout to Sordin and Howard Leight. i have used Peltor and Sordin professionally and prefer Peltor in general, but Sordin is much more modern and is more helmet friendly. Howard Leight has a good record in sports shooting and are very good for the money asked - almost at the point of not worrying if they're damaged.

I have a pretty big head and finding comfortable earphones is actually really challenging. Any experience with that?
Since other folks already told you what active ear pro is, I'll chime in and tell you that I've used Howard Leight Impact Pros with gel cup inserts for years and they're great. They especially work well for indoor settings or pistol-only stuff. I too have a big head and they fit me no problem. That company also makes the Impact Sport which fits a big head and those fold up too. Either one is good and will work as advertised. I don't use comms with any of my stuff so I'll leave that part to others.

If you want ear bud active pro, there are two I can recommend. I've used the Axil XCOR Pro for the last year and those work well. It's not quite as much ear pro as muff types but the stock on a rifle doesn't move the ear muff out of place with those. I've since gone to the Harris and Sons F12s. Those are custom made and you need to see an audiologist as part of getting them created. Fucking expensive all told but no other ear buds on the market can touch them. Worth every cent if you can swing it and shoot often enough to make them worth the investment.
Mozambiques are a good drill to practice this. You can do either: chest-chest-head, or chest-chest-dickhead.
These are not bad but what I've seen is that a lot of people end up practicing to get the drill up to a certain speed but are unable to replicate that performance with even minor changes. I'm not saying don't do these; instead try not to miss what the point of such drills is.

I hope he gets damn fit and strong so he can see how good it feels. If you get there, you possess something surprisingly few others do that can only be earned. People can still talk all their shit but when you know how easily you could physically break them it makes it so much simpler to ignore their bullshit. Lots of different types of insecurity can't fuck with you if you're legitimately fit and strong. I hope he sees this for himself.

Fucking hell. And here I thought full load 10mm and .44 magnum were stout.

The bolt lugs extend forward past the bolt face for some reason

Features the most primitive adjustable gas system imaginable, a "master" hole is drilled into the barrel and you can swap the gas block around to make two holes of different sizes line up with in, one is for standard pressure and the other for +p

I need that thing to go with my absolute monstrosity of an M1 carbine.

Yes, that is an M1 in 50ae. Guy named Tim LeGendre made em as a craft project for people. They aren't that reliable (or safe), but it's a fun range toy to bring out from time to time.

You aren't knocking anyone down with a bullet in any circumstances. It just isn't how energy transfer works.

Josh needs an SBR AR-15. It is the ideal tool for dealing with body armor. Rapid controlled follow upshots will trump your high mass/high velocity calibers in any practical scenario. It is the ideal tool for about a billion other reasons as well.

@Club Sandwich da 400$ Cz that came completely disassembled in a zip lock bag. That's cosmoline not rust btw.
looks like it was painted or something rather than plated or epoxy painted at the factory. the markings are very soft, as are the edges. i'm assuming you're going melt off the cosmoline later and this was a fitting of parts to see what if anything is missing.
