Microsoft will unveil the next version of Windows on June 24th - What's next after Windows 10?

The laughably bad UI will probably be fixable with tweak programs just like it was in Windows 8.x and 10, so I'm not worried about that. I'm waiting to see what new privacy disasters will be introduced.

Might be a good time to lock in your copy of Win10 LTSC to ride out the latest autism storm, if you haven't already.

Its as inconsistent as always, 11 is still a skin of 7/8 like 10 was. I dont think this is a build close to release, or at least i hope its not.

Taskbar is very stripped of features (you cannot have taskbars on secondary screens even), but you can move the icons to the left at least.

So far the only upgrade ive found is if you hover over the maximize button it shows pinning options, but its still worse than powertoys' fancyzones

If you want to mess around with it in a VM here. I think the torrent is from someone on /g/, i personally used the mega link.

I love how the most important button awkwardly shifts around the bottom of the screen depending on how many things you have open. (Inb4 use the keyboard)
Big props to M$ for dogfooding so hard they designed the new logo in mspaint.

In all seriousness, has Microsoft ever been this shit before? Even the long drawn out death of 9x didn't take this long.

Formerly good.

The “all programs” menu in the start menu has been effectively destroyed with so much empty space, so I hope you enjoy scrolling down all the time to find anything past A, B, or C

If you’re using a touchscreen, sure whatever, but who the fuck actually uses a touchscreen to browse the start menu? Who the fuck are they designing this for?

I mean, it looks nice; it's better than the corporate blandness of Windows 10, but god they need to fix that taskbar.

Startup sound:

System sounds:
I dont hate the curves, they're tacky and useless but its at least something slightly fresh, if already done by apple since 2001. I cant stand the extra padding on everything in explorer (which still doesnt have tabs) and everything about the new taskbar and start. I've never liked w10's start either so hopefully by the time they forcefully install this on everyone's pc while they are sleeping (again) open shell supports it.

I thought Windows 10 was the final version of Windows, meant to pivot the OS to being "windows as a service" .

They're probably going to call this "Windows Live" or some shit to officialize it.
Welcome to Windows Usury Edition! (Windows UE)
Windows 95 was what caused the tech industry to get involved into politics. Steve Jobs wanted to sue Microsoft for their idea of allowing Windows 95 to come free with all PCs, so Apple started donating heavily to politicians so they could craft policy specifically in Apple's favor and Apple then goes ahead and sues Microsoft. The verdict forbade Microsoft going forward with it's idea and so Microsoft then allocates funds to also buy out politicians in an government buyout arms race Anyways the reason why the tech industry is as bad as it is is mostly all stemming from that one case which set the standard.
