Gnar is a goddamn cutie
Poor bastard, imagine being a border collie tied to a sedentary monster that screams orders at you all day. These sorts are always fucking abusive to their pets off screen.

The baffling part about the fat munchies is that they have a cure right in their fucking faces, requiring zero costly medical procedures or prescriptions. People with genuine problems would give anything to have an answer that direct and that easy. But for the fat munchie, that simple answer us so infuriating they tantrum (oh sorry, "meltdown")

I respect her doctors, though, most of these obese ones find that doc to give them endless steroids and make it all worse. The fact so many have told her the truth is a good sign. I've seen things that make me worry the pro-fat shit is taking over medical policy lately, IRL morbidly obese munch routinely claims the doctors gasp and shrug at her mysterious, unexplainable conditions when she's absolutely textbook obesity/health degradation.

Yeah I've said it before in this thread: in every rally class or flyball team there's a screeching asshat who forgets this is supposed to be about having fun with your dog. These people don't achieve anything on their own so they have to live vicariously through their dogs, who get burned out at 3 years old and are unceremoniously discarded.

Don't get too attached to Godric or any of the other dogs in this series.

I don't usually post here but the Tranny Sideshows Thread encountered a FTM munchie you might enjoy. I searched her username and I couldn't find that she has been posted before. She posts a lot on Tourettes fakers/Illness fakers subreddits.

Checking her Reddit (/u/broken-markers) this brave pooner claims to have Tourettes and....FND(?) and OCP(?) and an eating disorder and she sometimes uses a wheelchair when she can't walk and she self-harms AND she has seizures so bad she always needs to have someone with her. She used to have trichotillomania.

She has a 'boyfriend (m/f?)' who has ADHD and couldn't make her orgasm and doesn't eat.
Wew girl.

I apologize if this has been brought up earlier but this was recently randomly recommended to me by Youtube and it set off my munch alarm. I admit I'm not as well-versed in recognizing munching as many of you so I wanted to see what the posters here thought, if it does appear to be munching or not. This is "Physics Girl," a Youtube account with over 2 million subscribers.

The "long COVID" and "CFS" diagnoses immediately set off my bullshit alarms, and the one scene where she's wearing a CPAP (which is never explained) and then she's never shown wearing it again set them off further. The video is well-produced so a lot of the more telltale munchie signs where they slip up aren't present but it's just the vibe I get. I'll defer to you guys though if you think I'm wrong.

I came across this too. I admit I think CFS *this severe* is almost always psychiatric but this girl seemed together before this. I followed her a little already (for powerlevel reasons I won't go into) and I didn't see this coming.

Yeah there has to be something more to this, I feel really bad for the husband though.

I know exactly what you mean. Reading about her for the first time was interesting, especially all the forum posts from her mom. But on an average day she's not that entertaining. All she ever does is rip out her tubes and rub shit in her wounds and then rip out her tubes again.

The Claw was a fun little saga, though.
Dr. Claw and her bacterial henchmen are still plotting the munchpocolypse. She failed at kicking off her reign of terror during the tattoo saga but she's not defeated yet. One day soon you'll wake up to that claw slowly pushing into your mouth then BAM, sepsis. Just telling it like it is. I feel sorry for the "real" kiwis, the geographic "kiwis". It's sad but you'll have to nuke your country or deal with autonomous self-aware sepsis homonculi.

Fun fact: physics girl was actually the main love interest of deceased schizophrenic lolcow Terry Davis. His trolls would often pretend to be her in order to get reactions out of him. RIP Terry, sad that people think it's cool to pretend to have the illnesses which ruined your life.💜

I don't see any motive. She had a thriving YouTube career so money and attention are clearly off the table. Also, I just skimmed through her twitter history for a bit and noticed that she nevet posts more than 1-2 selfies a month (in which she looks genuinly sick) and that her health updates usually carry a very fornal character. Doesnt sound very munchie to me at all.

This one gives me mixed feelings because I don't see a single reason why she would do that, she was always excited about her work- but a tiny gutfeel tells me something is wrong with the situation. Think about a time you had a surgery or were seriously ill- you still strive towards comfort when you can and we can usually read or watch something. I have a friend who suffers from really bad autoimmune disease and her life is tough, but she still enjoys going online and participating in hobbies. If physics girl can't even do those things for her own relaxation that sounds like a very heavy health problem, and I know they're in America so they can't just keep her hospitalized 24/7 but why can't her condition be treated? Why is her husband her primary caretaker when they could hire a nurse and her mom is around? It's nice for him to be there for her, but he's young and any job money would help with the medical bills, they can't sit on what they have forever.

I dont know who this person is but i like playing devils advocate. Attention comes in different forms. The type of attention you get from being a youtuber is different to the type of attention you get for being sick. And money as a motive plays into malingering more than being a munchie. While a lot of munchies grift, it's not usually the main motivation. It's more of a side benefit and munchies would still munch even if they couldn't grift. Some successful people go full blown munchie to deal with stagnation. Some get sick, get a break from it all, and evolve into a munchie.

So it's possible she got legitimately sick, got the same amount of attention from that as she would get from doing youtube but with less effort, and turned into a munchie to keep it going.

But like I said, I have no idea who this person is.

Simone (the one giving the update) had a very real brain tumor and surgery not terribly long ago, if I'm not mistaken. There was an outpouring of support for her during that time. I'm inclined to believe that she (physics girl) is actually unwell but I have no real reason to say so; I wonder if the attention shown to her friend by the youtube public might have had an allure. Idk.

I don’t know her, either, but I find it very interesting that she got married only last year and, within less than a year of her wedding, she’s suffered such a decline in health that she’s bedbound and on IVs, needing full-time care from hubby dearest. I’ve known people with serious illnesses, including late-stage cancer, that had better quality of life than that. I’m curious to know if she’s ever had a serious health decline before, particularly as a response to a stressful situation.

There are some cases of long covid that appear to be pretty debilitating, but the literature says that in the vast majority of cases of long covid, the serious health effects, such as fatigue and headaches, have largely subsided after three months. People with long covid who suffer serious health effects generally already have a chronic health issue like diabetes.

She could be particularly unlucky and be in the extreme minority of previously healthy people who have extremely debilitating long covid. But, I agree that it’s kind of fishy. Also, just by reading this thread — munchers don’t really need a reason to munch. The ones documented here are often middle-class or even wealthy women who, for whatever reason, have their Cluster B madness manifest itself in the irresistible desire to munch, some even to death.

She didn't though. Before she became so severly ill, her posts about illness didn't get much traction. You can observe her gradual decline on her twitter, starting in july of last year, and you'll further notice her posting frequency getting less as her condition worsens. If she was a munchie, it would be the other way around, no?

Even if she was one, I dont see anything that could be made fun of. But go make up your own mind:

I saw it few weeks ago and it reminded me of this thread immediately. I can’t say why, it just seems like munching.
Also there was a comment from some girl who claimed she met this physics girl like a 2 months ago for an interview and she was sitting in a bed, smiling and they talked for like 45 minutes without a problem. I’m not sure the comment is still there. It’s very suspicious, especially when she claims she can’t talk for more than a minute and other things that sound just like bullshit to me.
Maybe she’s really ill, but it seems like she’s exaggerating it greatly.

ETA: It also might be psychological, somatisation. These things are no joke, when your mind turns against your body. In that case, only a good therapist can help.
