It's weird that she hasn't posted the news on her main. Also the fact that she needs peds organs when pediatric deaths aren't that common makes it so much weirder, how did she manage to get approved so quickly (apparently she said that she has been on the list since march or something like that according to IF) specially for a surgery that needs child organs that aren't as commonly found as adult organs? It takes years for some people to get a single transplant, let alone a rare one like that.

Hey longtime lurker and another recent cast off from Reddit. And I come bearing a story of non-public mod dirt y'all.

I got banned during the aftermath of the mod meltdown on Ashley removal day not even due to the Ashley posts. And apparently a bunch of people got banned pretty indiscriminately judging from what people in off-shoot Ashley subs are saying.

The best part is I work in medicine. And was super public about it because the mods told me it's the the only type of first-hand talk allowable and that they wanted medical experts there to be able to chime as such, plus didn't want to get accused of blogging when I could easily point out the medical inaccuracies in all the posts. [Not PLing here. I know a degree isn't shit here.]

The reason actually got banned on Monday from IF for "being rude to other members" and for the offensive crime of telling them not to medically diagnose people without fucking medical training like a normal rational person knows not to.

So basically because I dared say medical personnel's actual expertise on precise medical matters is more important than some rando laymen. That was terribly offensive. Usually it's only terribly offensive to munchies, but apparently mods at Illness Fakers feel the exact same way!

(What did I say? Twice I told sub members it was insane to call Crohn's worse than skin cancer and then explained why (in a firm and confident manner but never without ever insulting anyone, so only the softest fucking snowflake on earth would have considered it rude) and the third time I told some month old account idiot who fell for Dani's sad little retard act that now she's just a nutjob drug addict and anorexic and they had no business saying she's legitimately developmentally disabled without a medical background since they were citing diagnostic criteria. And that poor helpless act is exactly what Dani wants everyone to think.)

And boom I get this message:

Now wait it gets better. Once they posted the Ashley removal post they started getting heat from tons of people in it as you saw. Throwing around all kinds of accusations (well not accusations valid points) about the shitty modding. Cat was brought up a lot for her antics. And you have some of her history so you know.

That same day out of nowhere I got suspended from Reddit for Illness Fakers ban evasion, without having done so. I couldn't figure out WTF was going on so I started googling a bit and saw mods of a sub report ban evasion mostly based on guesswork and when you do get suspended from the site as a whole there’s some glitch where it somehow erases all of your chats.

Why am I bringing this up? Well Illness Fakers #1 most problematic mod Cat was all up in my chat messages shortly after I began regularly posting in the sub as a physician.

Cat informed me, unsolicited, one day that almost every single comment of mine was being targeted for months, likely by one of the subjects. She said something along the lines of "you must have really pissed someone off". And went into how they're constantly jumping through hoops with mountains of reports and intentionally inflammatory comments from the subjects trying to get themselves removed or the sub banned. So essentially exactly what they just did with Ashley. (That whole thing has a new development too BTW- MBI says that it's just temporary and they forgot to mention that in the original post. And a previously unmentioned "terms of service" issue needs fixed first. Uh huh.)

So confirming they do get played like fiddles by the subjects to me in private.

But grand finale dirt here- messy mod Cat once jumped into my chat asking me for emergency medical advice on whether she should go to the hospital for some issue (related to mystery abdominal pain IIRC) because "the nurses line hung up on her". (Red flag.) I'm over here in the US and it's on the internet. All after establishing contact with me originally in her capacity as mod for a munchie sub. We had maybe 2 conversations that weren't more than a couple paragraphs before this point. It's not like we were bros or anything. I couldn't believe it. That shit is just as OTT as any of the subjects. IDK how she thought it was appropriate or as a grown adult didn't know that's dubiously ethical. I told her I can't give her medical advice over the internet and could only speak in hypotheticals. And off she went to the hospital based on what she was told by a stranger online.

I would have gone right to the other mods to report that crazy shit if they seemed at all reasonable but I knew if I did it would just be instant cover up and a ban to shut me up.

After Monday and my permanent ban from the sub, I think that's why Cat reported me for ban evasion: to erase the messages. She knew I had evidence of her ridiculous actions in there and was afraid I'd use it once banned. She was also quickly erasing anything in her profile simultaneously, the whole history was suddenly removed which is how I put this all together. So if they're still somehow there when my temp suspension is up they're yours.

I also have solid dirt on Ashley Carnduff too after looking into her when she exposed the cancer infusion ward to COVID. But this got long so I'll save it for another day.

Yeah, your PCP can set up advance directives, although some hospitals just fully ignore them because some patients come up with ones that are completely contradictory. Shit like DNI but otherwise full code (we just bagging them for hours?) or no-compression CPR (cool that norepi just sits in your veins.)

Unfortunately your PCP can't be your Medical Power of Attorney in most states. I have no idea why, since that'd be the best system. Conflict of interest I guess. The best solution would be to get a Medical Power of Attorney that's a nurse (or something similar) that you have no relationship with but who knows your wishes, and then keep something in your purse or wallet so the hospital knows how to contact them if you're found down.

Oh hey, topical post now that Cheyanne is doing something interesting, it's time to talk about Brynn Duncan, the Face That Launched a Thousand Munchies. All this time I’ve been posting my Florida Women, I’ve been talking about how Jaquie is at the center of this universe but that’s not really true. Jaquie’s faking started in 2008 with some seizures but she didn’t start claiming the Usual Suspects until 2016. We know Cheyanne’s faking predates this, so where did Cheyanne get the idea? The answer, or one of them, is Brynn Kaitlin Duncan, a 28-year-old from Easley, SC, where Cheyanne and Denae also currently live. As Jaquie brought many a Florida Woman to the good Dr. Miguel Trevino, so did Brynn make it cool to live in the Greenville area if you wanted to be one of Dr. Lawrence Afrin’s special friends without living in Minnesota.

Back in the hospital.


A few days later, admitted to Children’s and we find out she also has POTS.


The girl in the middle is Betsy, her best spoonie friend.


Yep, the dog’s a service dog and a natural alerter to POTS. Of course. So this predates Jaquie claiming Harlow alerted to her POTS by at least three years.


We got an epi-pen, a mask (not yet a vog! They were still brand new on the market!), benadryl, albuterol inhaler…

She’s in Maine.


She’s in Boston.


She’s at Carowinds in Charlotte, NC. Repeatedly riding on a Hyper Coaster would not be my choice of activity if I was prone to passing out from sudden changes in blood pressure, but do you, Brynn. Also, no wheelchair necessary after said activity, neat.


The day her life changed. Just in my 5 seconds of googlin’, it looks like this really isn’t too unusual a result and is more likely to be extremely sensitive skin than true allergies. Could be wrong though.


Back in the hospital.


Betsy is hospitalized at the same time. Betsy, shockingly, is not another munchie or an ana, but a very sick young lady who has something called primary intestinal lymphangiectasia. She was diagnosed as a young child and it causes her to have problems with edema, electrolyte imbalances, malabsorption, and a very weak immune system. You can even see in this photo that while she’s very thin in her arms and face, she’s got a bloated barrel belly from the edema. They apparently met through the hospital and became friends which takes on a new level of horror when you realize that Brynn often got herself hospitalized for her fake problems like this stay for her POTS (??) when Betsy was there because, yanno, Betsy caught some nasty opportunistic infection and/or could actually drop dead from a heart attack if her potassium crashes too low.


Days later Brynn’s back in the hospital after she “shocked” from the last safe vegetable.


She really has no other identity at all.


Old pic but from this we learn she did Tae Kwan Do, which Jaquie also did and excelled at. I really wonder if TKD put Brynn on Jaquie’s radar since they both would have been competing at the same time.


Their whole family was actually black belts in TKD.


I do not know why betsy is allowed to measure liquid benadryl for Brynn while they are both hospitalized but here we are.


Nearly every post she mentions something about her health. Prom pic? “My sexy orthopedic boot.”


Twenty admissions in 2012 and this time it’s something with her adrenals not working right cough steroids. Moonface ahoy.


Two weeks after discharge she is now on her 22nd admission.


And we’re shipping up to Boston! Doctor listed on her bracelet is just a normal pediatrician.


Upon arriving she is at Brigham & Women’s hospital to see Dr. Castells. Sounds familiar. I really have to assume Castells was just a good doctor who was totally unprepared for this wave of social media clout chasers flooding her office all at once, who took these girls at their self-reported history until she caught on. We saw from Denae’s posts that she was no longer a compliant pushover by 2015 and had been disavowed by many a MCAS port-chaser.


So many hospital pics. Her posting increases exponentially every time she's in the hospital. At home we maybe get a dog pic once a week. While hospitalized it's endless selfies and documenting any procedure she manages to score. EEG is the only one that’s really interesting.


Now she has AFOs. Steroid binge eating.


Finally released in time for halloween. I’m not sure if this was a continuous admission or if it was several shorter ones.


Baaarely scraping by with school. Homebound is a service for providing tutoring to students who have to take an extended leave from public schooling due to illness.

She doesn’t say what this is for, but we’re back out in a few days and shopping in a wheelchair with an ortho boot on.


Another admission. Gets an MRI.


All of this has something to do with Xolair.


Good news, it works!


So the photo doesn’t really matter but this conversation is interesting. Brynn is about to turn 19 and will soon be kicked out of peds, which she’s not happy about.


Hospitalized again the day after christmas.

Turns 19 in the hospital. She really was trying to squeeze everything she could out of her last days as a peds patient lmao.


Immediately discharged.


Hospitalized again 11 days later, getting another EEG.


Diet impeccable as is expected.


Oh shit we’re goin’ ta disney!


And she lets us all know why Disney totally overhauled their disability system a few years ago: people were abusing it to skip lines. You don’t have to provide documentation to get a disability pass at Disney and it previously applied to your whole party so entire tour groups of 200+ people were declaring one person disabled, getting the pass, then using it to let the entire group line jump at every ride. Now you have to reserve a return time for each ride which is based on how long the line is (so an hour wait = your return time is in an hour) and you can only reserve one return time at a time. You can also reserve times for two advance selections the day before. It only applies to a max of six people per party which includes the person with the disability, so no more registering one person to get 200 people on the most popular ride in the park without waiting.

We got the mask, the wheelchair, and an attention-seeking idiot wrapped in stickers meant for children.


Xolair must have worked famously. She can now eat chicken tendies.


Like all of these girls, her illness magically fucks off when she’s at Disney and allows her to enjoy every ride with no consequences.


As soon as she’s home: hospitalized! Please note that while her trip to Disney got but a few posts, she's about to spam the fuck out of her insta because medical drama is WAY more fun!


Reacting to the Xolair


Convulsions. I can’t understand these girls willingly getting pumped full of steroids all the time. I mean better pred than dead if you need it but corticosteroids are about the last drug I would take just for clout.


But I guess when every hospital stay gets you oodles of attention and coddling it makes it worthwhile


the dog alerts to seizures now. I’m sure I’ve said this 100 times for 100 girls who claim this but no. Studies have been done on “seizure alert” dogs. They are not able to alert to genuine seizures. They may learn to pick up on behavior changes just before a seizure but this is almost always in people who have an aura in which case they also know they are about to have a seizure. What they did find is that the people who claim their dog is super reliable with alerts to their seizures were actually having psychogenic episodes in response to the alleged alert. In other words, the dog paws them, they take this as indication that they’re going to have an episode, then they do because the seizures are psychogenic and the suggestion and resultant anxiety triggers it. But I don’t even believe people like Brynn have PNES. I think they’re just faking seizures occasionally after their dog smacks them for attention and then claiming it’s an alert.


Around this time she makes an insta for her dog. Thankfully it’s barely used because god I hate chasing them across 15 accounts half of which are pretending to be a dog writing about ‘my girl.’


Hospitalized again in late february and we get another content flood.


Throwback to that time I was super duper skinny and first got my shiny service dog prize!


She makes a youtube video about how she trained her dog. Basically, the dog was a pet, she decided she wanted a service dog so the dog magically started “alerting” to everything, then she went to a few training classes. Most service dog programs are two years of training. A year of obedience and socialization followed by another of intense training and fine tuning. But moose only needed a few weeks of puppy classes at 6 months old to be perfect, of course.

Seizure free for three days!


Late march she makes it a month without being hospitalized, celebrates with a pic from when she was in the hospital.


The AFOs are for dystonia which would otherwise tear up her ligaments in her legs. That does not sound right to me at all. Dystonia is another one of those umbrella diseases where she hasn’t told us which kind she has and it could be anything from a serious genetic disease to a conversion disorder.

“I shouldn’t have done this because of my x syndrome but it was worth it!” - every munchie. Yes, totally amazing that when you have fun plans your illness fucks off entirely.

I wonder what these doctors think seeing these girls who are so sick, so fragile fucking around in the hospital. And she’s traveled 200 miles for this.

Here we go. She went to Charleston to see her MCAS specialist seeking a toob. The specialist said it made no sense to go that route because whether she ate it or it was tubed in, it was still going to come in contact with her intestines. If MCAS reactions in her gut are the issue a tube solves nothing.


...and then, krispy kreme. “I wasn’t supposed to eat it, but I did anyway. I don’t even care if it kills me, because it was REALLY good.” Yeah that’s a totally logical thing to say. Any person with actual life-threatening allergies would definitely willingly come in contact with a potential allergen because donuts are just too gosh darned good.


We’re getting that Tilite Aero Z! Why? No clue.


Haha, remember when I said, in Rachel’s timeline, that I wasn’t really annoyed when she posted the leave it pics because she did it when the dogs were like 10 weeks old and it’s impressive there, but normally I laugh because the dog is like two and any two year old dog should be able to ignore food when commanded let alone a service dog? Yeah this dog is like two, and she directly tags Rachel as her inspiration.


Ahahah way to out that all your problems are anxiety and boredom. “I actually forgot that I wasn’t normal. I wasn’t constantly worried about having a reaction or passing out.” Therefore you didn’t, magical.


Annnd she gets the tube anyway. It’s #sickkidchristmas! No really, she actually tags that.


Over in the comments she explains they don’t know why they gave her a tube. It’s just an NG so it’s no different than just drinking the formula.

We made it a whole 16 weeks without a hospital vacation this time! It’s a fairly long stay with many posts about how brave and strong she is.

Something tells me they would not send you home with unexplained sudden and severe muscle weakness to just flop around the house like a fish, and something also tells me you have no idea how hard it would actually be to pull yourself up the stairs with just your arms while your legs are basically dead weight.

SUDDENLY! She announces she has gastroparesis and now needs an NJ tube to make sure she can tolerate Jtube feedings before getting a GJ tube. NJ tube is her favorite thing now. PICC line who?

HAHAHAHA holy fuck, she got bored of being “completely wheelchair bound” (which she never was, since even by her own narrative she walked with the KAFOs) and decided to just walk fine on her normal functioning legs.


Hospital time! Gotta make sure she pulls her shirt up so people can see her tubes.


She explains she can’t walk because of “multiple problems with her brain” but now can walk because that improved with new treatment.


Hospital again, IV antibiotics in the ball.


Here she claims she’s one of the first people in the US to be given a continuous benadryl pump. I believe it.

So have you guessed which doctor in Charleston is signing off on all of this yet? It’s Dr. Lawrence Afrin, which we learn when Brynn announces her MCAS specialist Dr. A. is moving to minnesota.

Wheelchair-san and the KAFOs have been all but forgotten now that she has all these new toys to show off!


She’s a walking miracle. Basically Jesus tbh.


She now has a stan and it’s weeeeird.


A few days later, sickest she’s ever been, on the neuro ward after a stay in the ICU.


Here we get some lore. Claims MCAS is genetic. She had symptoms since she was born but didn’t start having real problems until 11 or 12. Then she got the DTAP at 16 and lol vaccine injured! Her doctors totally believe the vaccine is what let the MCAS run rampant.


Once again she doesn’t tell us details about this hospital stay and we just return to normal content.


Her joints “twist around and pop out of place.”


Sister graduates, but PAY ATTENTION TO BRYNN. She was just dancing but now she def needs the chair, her tubes sticking out, and to steal her sister’s mortarboard.

Seven weeks in the ICU. No, I have no idea how she pulled this off except that doctors were not yet used to young bored wealthy girls from the suburbs coming into the hospital claiming these rare diseases and she has Afrin giving her “team” orders.


Dystonic seizures, begging the hospital to intubate and sedate her again.


Her legs are now casted again.

So apparently right here she got featured in Cosmopolitan but it was on their Snapchat or something? I can find an article about her from 2017 but not whatever was posted in 2015. Whatever this was, it's the turning point in her journey because she goes from basically unknown to spoonie celebrity from here on out. One thing to notice from this point is that her comments go from Brynn chatting with friends and random prayer warriors to a whole lot of young women specifically saying that she is an inspiration.

She keeps getting Mystery Casts that are either for EDS dislocations or soft tissue damage from dystonic convulsions or both. She's just gotten IVIG for a fake illness thanks to our dear friend in Minnesota. And she's recently gotten a flurry of mainstream media fluff pieces that are about to draw a whole lot of people to her socials. Let's see how she reacts!

Oh lord. So here we have a bunch of attention seekers in Universal Studios. Some chick named Emily in a rented scooty, someone’s child or dog in a stroller, Brynn in her grandpa’s power chair scooter thing, and taking up the rear is Ashley in her tilite, over on the left we clearly see another dog in the theme park. And we learn that Brynn “put a name” to Ashley’s symptoms. God dammit Ashley I gave you so much benefit of the doubt.

And while Betsy's actually immune compromised because of her disease, Brynn's the one getting IVIG.

If she has a gtube she can change at home why are they still doing it at the hospital? Yanno if you had actual seizures and dystonia for hours after anesthesia, they’d probably stop giving you anesthesia for tube changes unless absolutely necessary.


Also you need to be 6 months seizure free to drive in SC. Doctors don’t have to report unlike some other states, but you’re supposed to self-report. This would be dreadfully unsafe if the seizures were real.


One of her munchie friends had a babby surprise that was born super premature but survived despite its mother trying real hard to kill herself through medical fuckery.

Remember how Betsy is actually sick? She caught the flu, was hospitalized, and developed sepsis because her immune system was trash. She was placed on life support in a coma. They could not save her and she died at age 22. These girls LARPing serious illness want what Betsy had, a genuine rare n’ shiny to get all the attention and be told they are very brave by their social media circles, and they destroy their fine health trying to fake it. This poor girl probably just didn’t want to fucking die and thought she had found other girls who ‘got it.’

Biopsy confirms the worst. It’s osteosarcoma. He’s not long for the world. Brynn is heartbroken that he won’t finish his service dog training before he fucking dies.


Goes to Philly again to visit the sepsis queen and go to a dysautonomia conference.


The cancer dog almost dies from a severe allergic reaction. You know, just like Brynn has been faking for years! It will never stop amusing me that her "service dog" is actually way sicker than she is.


She’s going to college now.


Philly again for another event for Taylor. This time Dr. Afrin – you know, the guy who prescribed megadoses of steroids that ultimately led to her death? - is also there. Because he’s on the board of the charity she set up before she died.


Back home, ICU, etc etc Moose suddenly fine to be working again because what's a hospital stay without a service dog and people would raise their brow if she brought the cancer tripod.

Poor Betsy, from the few glimpses I got of her she had more joy in her smile than Brynn did in the million shots of her glee over new medical equipment. Maybe it's because she was severely ill and trying to live a life, and Brynn is trying to give back her life and become severely ill.
