The medical faculty will probably just quietly offer her an alternative degree to exit with like a B.MedSci or something rather than the MBBS. The fact they're letting her do the degree part time is surprising.
I don't know how she could get through her FY1 year. There was an Australian guy who was in a car accident partway through medical school and ended up as a low quad (still some use of his hands), but he planned on doing Radiology (sensible, you sit down all day) and was able to get through university and his foundation year with some accommodations. But, like, he could still hear and see his patients and didn't need a fucking oxygen tank.

@Grey B. Train hey Katherine! Changing your username from rustymarble doesn’t get rid of your history. Did you lock down your socials yet?

Nope, and still over sharing about your tater tots. Sucks about the car crash. Happy sixth anniversary of your aneurysm which was still caused by you being a sedentary fatass and not a mysterious form of cEDS caused by a gene variant of unknown significance!

I love how she uses a filter to make herself look deathly pale but then in another picture (like the 2nd piano one) she looks just fine.
Damn, I wonder how a blind person could choose a filter that makes her look appropriately on the edge of death.

She typos "process" as "provess" in one of those answers, which means she's manually typing on a QWERTY cause that's not an error text-to-speech software or autocorrect would make. Huh.

Well, medical mysteries will remain mysteries I guess.

What a shock. Dr Cline ordered a ton of tests like he does for everyone and didn't just give into her demand of sweet sweet TPN but scored an EDS diagnosis Also still munching in fb groups
It’s amazing how long it took Dani to realize she could just pretend to be diagnosed with gastroparesis and EDS like the rest of the munchies on IG. It does fit with how much of a tard she is though, otherwise she’d have jumped to self dx in months instead of nearly a decade.

>The doctors leaving me in a Stiff Person attack for 4 1/2 hours
>Then neuro decided to come into the room and pook [poke?] around on me, causing me to get stiffer
>Still no meds given for rescue!
Seems like they did exactly what needed to be done, imo. Called the neurologist to confirm "bich be actin' cra-z", and neurologist probably had a hard time keeping a straight face as she actively fights the tests to try to seem as stiff as possible.

Even though probably giving her some benzos would make her stop it- she wasn't in any danger, and giving any medication/validation just feeds the behavior...

So she turns to social media to get that validation instead.... it would be less fun for us here, but I wonder if it would help these people if someone literally threw their phones away, kept them off social media/the internet. Or would they just find another outlet...

I saw a video about nonepileptic 'seizures' and the harm that can come from treating and thinking of them as real seizures. The doctor was talking about a man he treated who was somewhat intellectually disabled and lived with his dad. People had assumed what he had were seizures because of his disabilities and because I think he was too squirrely to have the EKGs done to validate it, so they just put him seizure meds. The meds seemed to not work, so they kept upping the dose- and meds like that have big side effects.

Finally the doctor got to see one of the "seizures" in person. The autist would just ball up his hands toward his face and scream and grimace. The father would give the autist lots of attention for this, and also said it really sucked that they kept happening before he left for work and at bedtime.

The doctor took the guy off all the seizure medication and just prescribed a mild bedtime sedative. The father was fortunate enough to own his own business, so he decided to just start bringing the son to work and teaching him to do some simple tasks- No more 'seizures.' Hard to tell if the disabled guy was having episodes to be purposefully manipulative, but in any case they were working to get him attention- he was just lonely, scared, and bored.

The difference in this thread is that most of them have a high level of personal attachment to being sick that I don't think the disabled guy had. But I do think some of it isn't just pure malingering- you'd think a malingerer would be, I dunno, better at it?

Edit: Also LOL. I had a mental image of the hospital staff watching that TikTok. Pour one out for those poor doctors and nurses.

Sitting trying to work out how provess could come out of process... especially as she'd have a clear, possibly received pronunciation English.

Apologies for potential blogging here, but does anyone know when Alexandra was admitted to hospital? Hope this makes sense..

A liquid oxygen/Helios flask (which is what she's attached to) is only able to be filled up from a huge dewar tank, which I've never seen in a hospital setting. These big refill 'dewar' tanks are, to my knowledge, only supplied in the community to patients on liquid oxygen for ambulatory use - in the hospital setting, patients are either attached to the oxygen port in the wall or given standard o2 tanks.

The Helios flasks also gradually evaporate over time when filled up - so if you were to fill one completely today and not use it at all, it would probably be half-full by tomorrow and empty by the next day.

So by that logic, the photo she's posted on Insta was either taken on the day/day after she was admitted (at the very latest) and she's since been switched to regular oxygen... or it's completely empty but she's pretending it's still got oxygen running through it.

Stock photo attached of Helios flask (small left one) and dewar tanks.

...What? Her father sleeps in her bedroom? I wonder if a history of incest or other sexual abuse could be partial cause to her clutching her fading youth (either of her own decisions or at the influence of an abuser, such as her father).

There's a strong theory that sexual abuse may have taken place. There's always been an uncomfortably sexual undercurrent to what goes on in the Crisp household. It's entirely possible that Bee's "illness" was triggered by SA and that part of the motivation is sexual or fetishistic. That dad ain't right and the mum is completely divvy.
Regarding both of the above, a search of this thread for Bee content should provide enough evidence that her dad is a total nonce. Remember when he helped her with the chocolate pudding tasting? Her dad is a piece of work himself and has written long screeds about being discriminated against for his "autism", many of which are posted in this thread. Just observing his behavior toward his daughter is convincing enough for me that there's a sexual component at hand in whatever is going on. I think that Bee's "illness" started as pure MbP and she has been made to believe she's truly ill. At the beginning of the COVID pandemic, she was hospitalized, and hospital staff apparently suspected something was not right. She was given a 24 hour attendant because it was felt there was something amiss about her illness and interactions with her parents. Alas, it backfired, because Daddy convinced her that the NHS were abusing her and trying to keep her from seeing her parents. She's really doubled down since then.

Also, Daddy Crisp sent Null a "take that off the fucking Internet" request, which is pretty funny.

Alexandra has been in the hospital. She's waiting on surgery, and doing a Q&A to keep her occupied during her brief moments of sobriety.

She has a limited diet (so limited that she can make fancy smoothie bowls instead of medical nutrition shakes). But she LOVES ice cream. And climbing unmarked trails through vines and trees. Alexandra the resilient just deals with puking all the time since she has no venous access for TPN.

After a traumatic 17-month-long hospital admission (has she mentioned that before?) Alexandra just woke up one morning and shoved her PTSD aside. She was able to overcome it through the power of blogging and studying.

In case you missed it there: Alexandra is not currently even in medical school. She will be rejoining this academic year after recovering from surgery. All of her recent viral tiktoks calling herself a deafblind medic or deafblind med student are somewhat disingenuous; there's no guarantee she will be able to rejoin.

She doesn't want a tattoo. But she does want to show off her scars. Look at them right now, even though the question was about tattoos!

Alexandra, who used to compete in two different sports and was allegedly Olympic-level in both of them, says she would win a gold medal in... being in the hospital all the time.

Being sick and deafblind doesn't stop this brave warrior med student from playing the piano!

This woman is absolutely obnoxious. Everything she writes is so self-aggrandizing and overblown. Most of it is obviously untrue. I don't understand how she doesn't have more detractors.

I also suspect that she's not going to return to school and knows it.

I mostly just wanted to say this but didn't want to post a standalone reaction meme. Of course she likes Coldplay.

Anyone remember Lili, the Swedish girl who got lumbar punctured in Japan and hasn't recovered since? Previous post here: (.net) (.ru) (.onion)
Sorry for my late update, and for not being very interactive recently. I think that I’m losing the emotional capability to reply when someone asks me how I am.⁣
I have a bad habit of isolating myself when I’m down and now that I am in the darkest of places I know I really shouldn’t isolate. Everything that’s been happening has made me feel so depersonalized and like I don’t even know what’s real anymore. Even though I’m not so active, I want you to know that I truly appreciate all of your amazing support. You guys are truly the best.⁣
Unfortunately my worst nightmare has come true ..that wretched spinal tap/blood patch and the trauma the surgeon put my spine through (high volume patch, mechanical massage) gave me a spinal cord injury. Arachnoiditis. One of the most painful diseases known to man. I finally know WHY I’m so debilitated, and in this extreme pain no meds can touch. The best way I can describe the pain is being torched, stabbed and electrocuted at the same time all over. I can’t sit, I can’t stand, can’t lay on my back. My legs spasm during the night like they have a life of their own.⁣⁣
When I was crying in the hospital from the pain and they laughed at the idea of giving me steroids they took away my chance of stopping this thing from progressing. There is no cure for arachnoiditis, the damage done to my spine will never be reversed, it’s progressive and could possibly end with me in a wheelchair. It definitely doesn’t help that I’m leaking spinal fluid. ⁣
Fortunately, I have been blessed with a tremendous outpouring of love from so many people. So many generous, and selfless financial donations which have kept me afloat, helped me pay for the hospital stays and all the medications and treatments. Thank you always for being here, for your support and kindness. ⁣
Peace and love to you all!!

She has a diagnosis now! Arachnoiditis. If you look closely at the screenshots (taken from her highlights today so posted 12w ago, around mid July) she already worked out that it was arachnoiditis, way before the incompetent and evil Japanese doctors. Everything is their fault. Need to aspirate CSF leak collections to relieve symptoms? Noooo, that will just create more holes and worsen the same problem, of course. She asks the doctors rhetorical questions and simply stuns them into silence. They won't give her the oh-so-simple steroids that will definitely cure her. Her only salvation is to raise money for travelling to America because nobody in Japan knows anything about CSF leaks! No, not one! Even though you can simply google arachnoiditis"/"cerebrospinal fluid leak" and Japan to get pages of publications.

Snooping through her account highlights I spotted some generic depression quotes, very quiet mentions of Christianity and a fearful aversion to gluten. As said in my last post a little legitimate illness on top of a mildly deranged young woman make an excellent concoction for being OTT. With this and the other parts of her story that just don't add up it makes me suspicious of almost everything she says. In terms of her gofundme she's raised a hefty kr6000 (usd $550) in the last 6 weeks or so, with one of her foreigner friends raising money for a sponsored walk in her name.
I didn't want to crush this ailing site's bandwith with many pictures so all the relevant thumbnails are below, in chronological order.
1. Old. Scared of eating anywhere because gluten
2-4. Around early-mid July. Lili asking her Japanese followers for help. Some Swedes told her the only specialists in the world are US based. The translations are awful, I think "saliva export" is meant to mean CSF leak.
5. She thinks she has arachnoiditis but her doctors won't just hand her steroids like she demands.
6-8. A fascinating exhibition of our Dunning-Kruger neurologist who knows better than all the doctors in Japan.
[caption under spoiler above]. One week later, Lili confirms to her followers that she was right.
9. Mid-august, Lili requests recommendations of doctors amongst her Japanese followers as a matter of urgency.
10-11. It didn't work, so she posts the message in English 2 days later and an addendum about the hospital not bending to her threat of suing them.
12. A gaijin friend weighs in to confirm that Japanese doctors are really terrible.

Alexandra made a post on August 31st before undergoing surgery. She said her surgery was supposed to be earlier in the week, but due to LOTS of inflammation and a big infection (her wording) it had to be delayed.

She's happy to "finally be under someone's responsibility" after all the neglect and trauma. At least she can see the sun though! And of course, she works in a mention of her long 17-month hospital admission.
Also, she is very high on opioids.

There haven't been any updates on the post or in her Instagram stories. But I had to read this, so I am forcing all of you to also read it.

She drank hot chocolate. It went into the drainage bag attached to her G-tube. She is using it as a hot water bottle.
Alexandra is using a bag of undigested hot chocolate that just drained from her own stomach as a heat source. And she posted about it. Genius.

She's been there since at least August 20th. It could be an old photo, but if she was still toting around her empty oxygen tank for photos it would not surprise me.
