Caleb Hammer is a munchie magnet. So many women have EDS/POTS and use it as an excuse to not work normal jobs on the show it’s insane (but expected). Interesting to see a male perspective, but it’s not new for his Financial Audit series.

I actually love when in media I see a woman who claims to be EDS/POTS + others like MCAS. It’s like waiting for it to drop it into conversation as an excuse for their laziness/alcoholism/shirking is a high for me.
The meth teeth girl who claimed she had glass bones and 20 heart attacks a day or some shit comes to mind.

Munchies are showing up again in my media consumption. They're a specter haunting things I enjoy.

Dude's ex-wife and "non-binary" 12 y/o daughter have long covid and he's a covid freak too. They pulled the kid of out public school when lockdowns started.
The episode before this one had a probable munchie too. Couldn't work enough hours at her starbies job because she had "some kind of arthritis" that no one could diagnose, and tried to start talking about her autism but got cut off. Also muh trauma from her emotionally abusive high school boyfriend is why she's in debt. Her husband who seemed to have a real GI disease worked like 60 hour weeks. And yes, she made a point to bring up that she was bisexual for literally no reason despite only ever dating men.

Also a "queer" EDS zebra with narcolepsy was highlighted in metokur's last stream, screaming about how she's unsafe in Trump's America. That was my other WFH background noise today.

These girls need to get a new schtick. If everyone's chronically ill and "queer" it's not special anymore.

i think he's finally starting to figure out that this is just the female equivalent of the men who refuse to even try to cook meals for themselves. He used to play along a lot more and now he seems to just cut them off when they start going down that road. The aforementioned barista was told to get another job if that one was too hard for her to do anymore.

Is there such thing as an emotional munchie? Someone who wants attention and sympathy, but not at the expensive of their career?
I think some people think if they're just successful because they work hard and are smart, it's not good enough or something. They need to have some hurdle they overcame on top of that.

I have a colleague like it who frequently announces a new disease she has, usually right after someone has finished complimenting her on doing something really well. Like she had a dumpster fire of a project the other day with a whole bunch of small but critical problems that needed to be fixed very quickly to keep it from falling apart. Instead of just accepting the pat on the back when she got it sorted she had to mention that it was a real struggle with her ADHD to keep bouncing between tasks like that. She maintains a spreadsheet of the status and deadlines for every active project we have and if anyone mentions it she will tell you all about how she does it because of her OCD.

It's so fucking weird and dumb but i guess she feels like her already-impressive accomplishments are greater if she has to fight her own brain every day to get through the grind.

The ass pats are the goal, so your coworker could be a munchie, or just be a really annoying person.
Oh she's definitely a really annoying person lol.

It was just the EDS that tipped it for me. Before that I was like "wow this annoying chick has a lot of medical problems, oh well." But due to internet munchies giving EDS a bad reputation, that's the one that made me want to roll my eyes. Must suck to actually seek treatment for it for real, annoying or not.

I can't edit my post but in the post-show he reveals that the ex-wife and daughter both claim to have POTS and the wife has EMF sensitivity/poisoning. This went from annoying to just sad. This poor child is doomed and getting Gypsy Rose'd.

There was some TV programme I saw a few years ago where they took a bunch of people who claimed to have EMF sensitivity and took them to a remote country house with no wi-fi or phone reception for a week to see how they reacted to having EMF removed, then turned the wi-fi etc back on for a week to see what would happen. Of course they all felt "so much better" the first week then in the second week the munching recommenced in earnest.

You have of course guessed the twist, which is that the weeks were swapped without them knowing, with the wi-fi on the first week and off the second. Hours of laughs.

Hear me out: a couple of Kiwis should start a TV production company to circumvent the declaration of Helsinki. We could set up so many great, phenomenally unethical experiments under the guise of making reality TV. Let’s do this!

Do you remember the name of the show? I love stuff like this.

@screemsfromthedeath Did Rose attend a church? I think you mentioned they had prearranged funeral plans with one, but I don't recall if the particular church was mentioned. Also, have you spoken with her mother recently? It would be absolutely appropriate for you to see how she's doing and ask when the service is planned or how you can help.

I'll be honest, I'd like a good faked suicide. It feels like it's been a while. I find the fact her doctors said she had no real prognosis and said she could live for a long time to be affirming of what we all already knew. My personal tinfoil is that the coroner's email is somehow questionable.

Also, someone please tell me that his figures on how much caretakers are paid by the state is incorrect, because those numbers are insane. How could someone caring for a person who is capable of employment and Bitcoin investing be paid thousands a week to do so? It truly makes me hate both the govt and the leechy people using my taxes (but that's how I generally feel).

I have not read anything by John Green, but I found the book The Remedy by Thomas Goetz to be an awesome historical look at TB. If it's worth a read let us know.

I find it more likely that the coroner's office received a death certificate from her hospice and filed it away like usual. Then they get an email asking about procedure and give vague form letter responses, like usual.

If those emails are 100% photoshopped then what do we have? Someone posting on her socials and a meaningless obit? Crap, I think those emails might be the only evidence besides information from Rose et al. Paging @Kate Farms Shill - just how sure are you about your source?

the storing of the body is what gets me (i belive that she could have been cremated and that there would be a celebration of life / funural service. i only say this because of the company that posted the obit was a cremation service. so i could see her ashes being in a urn and that urn just being there at the service but im not sure. at this point im not willing to bet either way about the body
I was going to say, she's probably just cremated and they picked a nicer month for the service so they could do a little celebration of life.

I've seen that often for young deaths and/or suicides. Family picks some happy sunny month months after the death so they can try to turn it into something more cheerful than a dank dark funeral home in a cold dank month

she will tell you all about how she does it because of her OCD.
Has anyone told her that this isn’t how OCD manifests?
We call the one uppers ‘elevenerife’ ers because they’ve always gone one further. If you’ve been to Tenerife they’ve been to elevenerife.
I am still not convinced rose is dead.

SO YES she did go to church a few times and was invested in god from my understanding. and the figures from what ninna makes is legit (she makes 24 dollars an hour and is eligable for over time pay. currenty my needed hours of care are based on a 3rd party review like everyone else. you have several doctors that do home visits and do an overview of care that is needed or that is proposed. in my care some of the bigger things that take hours are vent monitoring (aka making sure i have my vent on and am using it) diabeties managment and monitoring and docotor appointments and travel to thoes appointments. currently im approved for 108 hours a week only 40 of thoes hours are considerd normal rate at 24 the rest are considerd over time rate. about 2 to 4 times a month i have to go to dinver to see a hospital called national jewish they over see my lung care and breathing issues i currently have going on. on a side note they got hours approved for trach care since that is something several of my doctors are trying to figure out given sleep studys have profen that i have sleep paralysis and cant protect my air way (aka my o2 levels drop to the middle 80s and aparently that is not ok from what im being told. i have a pulse ox mechine that has a sim card in it that sends data back to my doctor at natioal jewish that i have to use everynight and with that data and my sleep study data they have stated they want to put the trach on the table as an option (they had me speak to a surgen and go over the final details but im wanting to trial other options before going down that route (currently im in speech theripy to help with an asperiation / gerd issue i have going on in hopes that might be what is cuasing my sleep paralysis. but as of now ninnah gets paid for me and her other child that is like 11 she currently gets 102 hours a week and i get 108 a week ninna charts for her child and her husband charts for me but ninna attends almost all the doctors appointsmnets and meetings with agencys. she was a CNA in pennsylvania but currently does not have her license (she prefers not to have it since some of the stuff she does for me and her other child she legally could not do unless on the clock which is stupid) she has been in the care giving field for i wanna say 25 years and has adopted over 13 kids a good portion of them being medicaly needy. currently i work from home as a technology support person for a non profit search and rescue team / road side assitance team we currently have over 200 members on the team and have worked in events such as hurricaine harvy/ hurricane florance. flooding in nabrashka and hurricane orma (dont qoute me on the spelling of that one) and several other small events.

Not at all. Cold call from an account I never spoke to who has deleted all content that was once on their account. Whether that was intentional or not is unknown. It's possible the posts/subreddits were deleted.

They sent me another DM offering more info after I posted about being slightly sus about the emails, but I never responded. If they have something to say to me they can do it here in public.

The BBC recently showed a documentary on Assisted Dying as it’s currently under discussion in the UK. They visited the US and Canada, MAID was discussed and a woman was interviewed who shared that when her elderly mother was in hospital the staff were strongly coercing her mother into signing up to it - which is horrifying.

The linked article interviews one of the people featured in it. She‘s in her 30’s and plans to die on a theatre stage surrounded by friends. - so far, so munchie.
She is a wheelchair user and does have spina bifida and has developed spinal growths, otherwise she has been told she can live a long life. Despite this she wants to die.
Idk, the unnecessarily shaved head and theatrics of it all reminded me of many of our gorls in this thread. Maybe I’m just a cynical fucker? It has been known.

that's interesting (not in a good way). elsewhere in the world the patient has to bring it up, sometimes more than once, before doctors can assess them. this is specifically to avoid the potential for coertion.

I strongly doubt claims that people are strongly COERCED into MAID. It was probably brought up as an option, and to someone who's in a high emotional state (or has a political agenda) that feels like being "coerced." Especially when it's a loved one making the choice for themselves, perhaps contrary to their family's wishes.

It's like how providing information to a pregnant teenage girl about the fact that abortion exists is seen as influencing or corrupting her. Nah fam, you just don't like it.

I know a small handful people whose parents have opted for MAID, and none of them were coerced. Small sample size I know, but the experiences from the news stories of COERCION do not line up with the experiences I've heard of straight from family members. If they're true, then it's because of bad actors, not by design, as some people would have you believe.

Mccastor boogie brain on fire is back. And in a "documentary" about EDS and being "labelled" as muchasen. Apparently no background check was done.

I saw this in the wild today. The book must be out 🙄
She’s really banking on this book, it’s available in a lot of places. She managed to snag an article in The Times as well, it’s already been archived so I guess someone is keeping tabs on her antics. Great article. I especially enjoyed the part where another patient bleeds to death horrifically and our heroine whinges that no one cares about her, no one sat down and held her hand and told her it was okay like mummy does. Maybe because they were busy trying to save the dying guy? No, clearly Tilly is the victim here.

Anyway, the book is available on audible with Tilly narrating, in case anyone has some free credits over and would like to torture themselves for our amusement.
