I never feel sorry for them, since they seem to always pick the biggest assholes on the board to be mods, like the bad old days on NeoGAF.

Whenever I look at the idiocy going on at ResetEra I'm reminded of the horseshoe theory. These people are so goddamn idiotic that they manage to turn that horseshoe into a spiral. They go so hard left they overlap into the right, then go right back into the left without even realizing it.

World champions at the Mental Gymnastics Grand Prix, the lot of them.

Yeah but they also ban anyone on the left who doesn't toe the line to perfection. It's the ultimate car crash.

They cause lots of people who are almost 1:1 with them to actively hate them, then that in turn damages all the social justice causes they claim to fight for.

The snake eating itself.

It's a common theme in >philosophy that there's few things worse than an opponent that almost agrees with you. I wouldn't be surprised if they took a page on stubborn intellectual purity and irrelevance from them.
