EXCLUSIVE: Nickelodeon has ended its long relationship with one of its most prolific series creators, Dan Schneider.

“Following many conversations together about next directions and future opportunities, Nickelodeon and our long-time creative partner Dan Schneider/Schneider’s Bakery have agreed to not extend the current deal,” Nickelodeon said in a statement to Deadline. “Since several Schneider’s Bakery projects are wrapping up, both sides agreed that this is a natural time for Nickelodeon and Schneider’s Bakery to pursue other opportunities and projects.

“Dan and his Schneider’s Bakery team have created a string of lasting, groundbreaking hits over the years including iCarly, Drake & Josh, Victorious, Kenan & Kel and the current number-one hit show on Nickelodeon, Henry Danger, the network continued. “We thank Dan and his Schneider’s Bakery producers, executives and social media team for their immeasurable contributions to Nickelodeon, and we wish them the best in their future endeavors. And Dan and Schneider’s Bakery are proud of the work they did together with Nickelodeon and will always remain big fans of the network.”

The decision comes as Nickelodeon has opted to cancel Schneider’s latest series, Game Shakers after three seasons. I hear the network intends to move forward with a fifth season of Schneider’s remaining live-action Nick series, Henry Danger. (He also has the animated The Adventures of Kid Danger, whose future is unclear.)

“After three seasons and 63 episodes, Nickelodeon has wrapped production on its live-action series Game Shakers,” Nickelodeon said in a statement to Deadline. “We are proud of the show’s success, and our dedicated and talented cast and crew. Premieres will continue to air throughout 2018.”

Among other things, I hear there had been multiple complaints of abusive behavior against Schneider filed by members of his staff.

Schneider has been Nick’s top creator/showrunner of live-action comedy hits for the past two decades. He is credited in part with discovering such young actresses as Ariana Grande, Amanda Bynes, Jami Lynn Spears and Victoria Justice who were case as leads of his series.

But along with all his success, for years, Schneider had been under a cloud of suspicion over the treatment of some younger stars of his shows. Among the things that have raised eyebrows are his tweeted photos of the toes of his young female stars. Additionally, there have been issues with bloated budgets and long production days on Schneider’s shows.

Schneider has had well documented temper issues for years. I hear there was a flareup last week when Schneider — along with the shows cast and crew — was informed that Game Shakers, was not getting renewed for a fourth season and that another series, Kevin Kopelow and Health Seifert’s Austin & Ally, would move into its production space in the Nickelodeon-owned Burbank studios where Schneider’s series had been based exclusively for the past few years.

Necroing, but a documentary series has recently come out about the allegations, and it reveals even more fucked up shit that was either previously unknown, or of which the details were undisclosed. Most notably is the arrest, and conviction of "dear friend" of John Wayne Gacy, and actor, and producer on multiple of Schneider's shows, Brian Peck.

That child he was convicted of assaulting in 2004? Turns out it was Drake Bell.

I've been waiting for this. It's sickening how none of this was really a secret, I guess most that heard just didn't want to believe it.

Big question: why now?

Did the hush money stop flowing? Did a guy who know things die? Or is this a distraction to protect people who are higher up in the food chain?

Brian Peck was convicted of molesting Drake Bell in 2004, who reported him to the police and secretly recorded his confession. Bell's name wasn't released because he was a minor but lots of people knew it was him. So when they were making this documentary, they wanted to cover Peck and approached Bell to see if he would talk about it publicly for the first time.

It also covers a production assistant named James Hardy who was also convicted in 2004 for child porn and abusing a little girl who appeared on The Amanda Show. So these guys were reported and punished at the time. But I don't think the child victims had any desire or motivation to speak publicly about being molested and after the investigations and trials tried to heal and move on with their lives.

I don't think the documentary has much concrete on Dan Schneider. The accusations against him are very indirect, mainly that there are weird sexual undertones, the occasional inappropriate joke, etc in his shows (true) and he's able to shrug responsibility because there are so many people involved in the production process. It seems like he maybe found a way to be a sexual creep to kids without actually doing anything illegal.

His trivia box on IMDB is hilarious.

Remember how it used to be a thing in the 90's that the "uncool" parents disliked all the farts, feet, and all other gross-out humor that was super popular at the time? I think that was even a theme in a lot of the ads they ran.

I'm kinda starting to think the parents that objected just knew in the back of their minds that something was wrong with what was on the screen.

I remember getting stonewalled in pedowood when i asked a friend where that shit even came from, cuz it's not rebellious faggotry that started that shit. And everyone I knew at that time avoided that shit like the plague, yet an entire generation of ads trying to make it into a thing was a thing.

FYI The show is on HBO MAX not Netflix (which is what the community happenings thread says). It's so fucking hard to keep track of all of the streaming services now though. Whenever a new show gets announced it's like rolling a d10 to decide if it comes to whatever one you're subscribed to or now.

This is why people should pirate shit and use something like Plex. Fuck streaming services.

Because Peck is yet another Jew pedo. Its a ritual Jews like to do to the goyim, they enjoy raping and destroying their children.

No one in power wants that to be spoken about, so we just cover it all up as best we can and hope the masses stay asleep and continue to give money to Jews who love destroying thier children.

Watched all fours parts and thought it was very good. Strongest is episodes 3 which is narrated by Drake and his father. Hearing about how Drake was systematically isolated from his rightly concerned father is chilling.

Schneider's stuff is mainly allegations from former writers about how nasty he is in the writing room, gleefully slipping in sex jokes, being (actually) misogynistic, and screaming at chdren on set.

It's only four episodes, very much recommend people check it out.

The older you are, the more likely you are to do it!

Wait, people didn’t know this already? If you think this isn’t close to SOP in Pedowood you’re huffing gas. It’s molesters all the way down.
Anyways, I was showing my friend what shows we grew up with in the western world, and ICarly was on Netflix. Brooooo it’s a lot fucking weirder when you’re an adult who knows what went down, Jesus Christ. I could literally hear 🗿 every time something sussy happened.
