I do not believe anyone has suggested that Melton himself took credit card data and is using that to buy stuff. But sub-par data security is rampant, especially with two-MAP bands like Supertips. Multinational conglomerates get hit with data breaches all the time, after all.

Remember, this is the guy who bragged about having data unlawfully acquired by his butt buddy Nick. Melton is not exactly au fait on what his legal obligations are and how to effectively uphold them.

Nah its not just zumock melton has pulled all sorts of scams over the years, Redbar use to cover it here are a few .

1. Melton didn't pay income taxes from 2012 to 2019 so (he had to make a settlement with the IRS to pay 30k in back small business taxes) when he wasn't paying he would do fundraisers like go fund mes but on private websites and he would do them through fans cause if he got the funds the IRS would have seized the cash so he got around it by getting fans to collect the cash. Because they are incapable of ever admitting they are wrong, all evidence that shows they are full of shit is held up as “proof” they were right all along. In Wil’s case, when Melton said on NLO that it was obvious Aaron hadn’t written the email, Wil and his Meltonite supporters moved the goalposts to “OK Aaron didn’t push send on the email but I know someone did it on his orders and the email proves it!” How does the email prove it? Because he says so.

What distinguishes Melton is that he’s admitted he doesn’t care if his fanfic is accurate as long as it provokes a reaction. I believe his words were “It’s all content.” That kind of bluntness is almost refreshing in an online world where people get so deeply emotionally invested in their fanfic that they will never admit error or stop taking themselves so seriously for even one moment.
