Now, as for the specific defamatory claims Brian makes in his newsletter, let's start at the beginning. Brian claims, sans any evidence, that if I cared, I would march or protest. Like the No Kings protests of June 14th, Brian? My wife and I marched that day, as we do for most every protest in the city. Here are just a few of the pictures we took on that occasion alone. If I cared, I would engage with my representatives. Like I do on a weekly basis, Brian? Calling them relentlessly and have for years, while also using my platform to encourage others to do the same, repeatedly? If I cared, I would write an op-ed. Like the dozens of op-eds I've penned for US News, The Hill, and even the NYT? Have you had multiple political op-eds published by the Times, Brian? If I cared, I would donate to political causes. Like we've done for years already, Brian?
So, I saw the post
@Judge Holden gave us (thank you for posting in quotes instead of the zoomed in screenshots) and I was curious about Rick's line here about having "multiple op-eds published." I did a cursory search or two around here, and in the general search but didn't see much, so forgive me if these have already been posted or I am treading on seasoned Pat Posters already fine work.
I started digging around and lo and behold, Pat in fact
does have multiple op-eds published by several different news outlets and sources online. Now according to
Muck Rack Pat here has dozens of articles published going back
ten years. His list of articles can be viewed
here . In fact, he has a total of 49 articles published, a whopping 32 articles on
The Hill, 3 articles on
The New York Times, and a few on some odd sci-fi or publishing sites. I am honestly shocked manpig managed to be published literally almost 50 times, and on actually respected news sites (whether you respect journalists and news sites is a whole other matter, mind you).
As it is late where I am and as I doubt Titty Rick can ask
The Hill to pull his articles due to it now being their intellectual property, I have not archived every single article (yet) that he has published, but what in the flying fuck was
The Hill thinking in publishing his op-eds and why so many of them? Mind you, these are op-eds, basically anyone can write those these days and are essentially fluff pieces at this point and mostly have very little actual value in information or informed opinion. However, both of these news sites are well regarded, and one is even considered one of the finest news publishers in the US, how the fuck did Fatrick of all people get published there? I don't know if this speaks more to the decline of news publishers/sites or just the pigheadedness and tenacity of Pigtrick to get published, but either way, I am floored.
I will note Patrick's time as an op-ed darling with
The Hill abruptly halts about 8 years ago never to return. My guess his ability to be so pugnacious ran him afoul of some editor or another, However, Fatrick's last respected publication, which was in
The New York Times, was 5 years ago, the year this very thread was created on him. I have not checked the date on that article's publication, but either way,
The New York Times published a bonafide lolcow's word on their once industry standard and 135 Pulitzer Prize winning website. We are truly living in the silliest timeline.
Anyways, here is the
archive , I do see that it was archived 3 years ago, so my deepest apologies if this has been gone over by some veteran Pat Poster already, I'm just still shocked at how silly, gay, and stupid this timeline is.
