These DINKs have no kids, and no experience with them, and never even notice them unless they're exploding at Targay or whatever. To them everything about children is a complete loss.

They should all be shipped to New York and ignored until they die, unknown and unloved.
Fatrick and Nikkki aren't DINKs, they're One Income No Kids. So, OINKs.

Okay, and sorry if this is tedious/stupid, but is it possible that this is a matter of procedure to show that both sides have tried to come to an agreement before an actual trial? I'm assuming that this would have happened before things were actually filed, but I'm just huffing copium at this point, lol.
It can, but lemme just say steel yourself. From the very beginning one of my multiple "predict everything so I can later claim to be right" predictions is a lot of municipalities actually do settle shit like this.

And the frankly dumb decision to reject qualified immunity in this case put the pressure on even more. I think the immediate appeal option would have been the winning option for the city, but remember, Fatty Porklinson may be Milwaukee's only multiple swatting case, and they frankly did not do a good job dealing with it.

So settling it and establishing actual policies and training on how NOT to do what happened here may be their best choice financially.

I hope it doesn't happen, but don't be too surprised or disappointed if it does. Even if Fatty benefits, so does everyone in Wisconsin, because there should be sane policies in place that make swatting way more dangerous to the perp than the victim.
I believe this should be a summary of their settlement negotiations, not an initial offer.
It's extremely common for settlement-related documents to be restricted or even sealed, since they can't be used as evidence in an actual trial. The policy purpose is to encourage candor between the parties, and more generally, to encourage parties to settle.

If you allowed settlement negotiations to be entered into actual evidence at trial, this would vastly discourage the candor and willingness to negotiate that essentially immunizing such communications allows.

Wait, so if this happens it may be the only positive thing Fatrick has contributed to society...

Tbh if you look at a lot of free speech cases and other rights cases that have done society a lot of good, LOTS of them involve complete pieces of shit.

To quote one of America's greatest literary geniuses:

"The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all." --H.L. Mencken

This is actually what's so pernicious about the insane SJW concept of "no bad tactics only bad targets." Bitch, if you ratify horrible tactics, you're GOING TO BE THE TARGETS OF THEM, probably some time sooner than you think.

I hope that as part of the settlement the Milwaukee PD agrees to never come to the half hovel again and Patrick gets raped to death by a whole pack of feral niggers.
You can complain that the police DO show up to your house and you can complain that the police DON'T show up to your house, but you can't fucking complain about both.

Supreme Court did rule that way.
Cops don't have to help you, more or less.

Eh, this was expected. The Judge put in on the calendar some time ago. It does not mean the city is settling. It's just something the judge wanted from the plaintiff's attorneys at this time. A progress report, nothing more.

It will be $100k. Attorney will take 1/3rd, then deduct all office expenses (which add up like a motherfucker) and split court costs - if negotiated.
He will end up with $40k max.
I bet you if the city settles he'll get quite a bit more. Anyone who knows this stuff: will we be able to find out how much exactly? Because this Patrick fellow doesn't strike me as an honest guy. I think he's probably overweight, too.

Another OnA pest has apparently stayed at the hovel AirBnB, releases a house tour to prove it:

I’ll be honest, Rick has a slightly better looking Airbnb than my shitty apartment. However, Rick is apparently incapable of fucking cleaning his hovel. That knife was gross.
Like, the doors on my apartment are banged up and from the 1970s, but I keep everything clean. Rick could update the shit in his hovel and do some renovations too. But he won’t, because he’s an Incapable pig.
Imagine the bedbugs.

Good to see the amendable and accommodating Jennifer offering Milwaukee an out with a settlement rather than fighting this out. I think everyone will be understanding that Rick needs to focus 120% on the threat in the White House and save American democracy rather than dealing with a bunch of incompetent local cops who are falling for the lies of a bunch of criminals like Brian and Leslie have. This will allow Patirck to laser in on solving the actual problem by making sure Donald J. Trump and the rest of the atalkers enjoy prison.

I have my doubts it's going to be that low, but it would be pretty funny. That's like the perfect scientifically calculated amount of money to sound like a lot but you'll blow through it so fast and be back to square one so quick, even if you are spending it responsibly, which we know Patrick won't.

My guess is he walks away with low six figures after all's said and done, that's assuming a settlement of course.
