I'm sure this comparison has been made, but pick-mes (at least the modern ones described in this thread) remind me of non-white white supremacists, people putting down their own and trying to get respect and attention from a group that ultimately doesn't respect them at all. Thinking about it, not surprising considering that they are the racial equivalent of pick-mes, so it wouldn't be surprising if the conditions that create a pick-me were also similar to the conditions that create non-white white supremacists.

Imagine wasting time on writing a book when she could've spent that time on something more worthwhile like cleaning, cooking, running errands or taking care of her kids. Disgusting and not very trad at all!

Women need to make their man a sandwich – except Candace and other rich trad pickmes, who mysteriously always seem to be exempt from their own rules. I can only assume that she and her tradcat husband let one or multiple nannies raise their children, while Candace makes money off of her podcast and other side project and her husband does... whatever closeted Catholic men with lots of money do.
