oh shit you meant the new 90210. that bitch was on nip/tuck too, which i know her from more. im mildly interested now

AnnaLynne McCord, the star of 90210 and Nip/Tuck, reveals her Dissociative Identity Disorder. https://archive.md/FyKwK

A lot of her accounts are more plausible than the people in this thread; for instance, she says she has big memory gaps and did not realize she had DID until very recently, after she played a role that "triggered" her into thinking about her past. In therapy, she recovered memories of child abuse she went through, and a DID diagnosis explained her foggy memories.

She says she has an alter called "little Anna" that she's had since childhood and that she was basically creating new alters every time she got a new role. It just didn't occur to her that's what she was doing when she was deeply into a role. This is more ???? to me, don't know if that makes sense.

In any case, it's a big deal that a celeb is claiming DID.
I’m less likely to think someone like her is malingering because she’s 34 and this is something that could really hurt her career. I’d be interested in hearing who diagnosed her because there’s some doctors in the United States who are famous for diagnosing people with DID, just like Chloe’s doctor is. It’s not uncommon for people to unknowingly get referred to these doctors and become convinced that they have DID, ultimately ruining their lives because of it.

I’ve spent hours reading this thread from the beginning and the only place I keep finding myself disagreeing is the bizarre assumption that being autistic is what causes this absolute insanity. I believe in DiD however I don’t believe that the “severity” of someone’s autism even though it’s not really measured like that has actually anything to do with it. Though that shouldn’t be taken as me disputing that autism may make you more susceptible to this shit it’s deffo not the driving force and I think half of them label themselves as autistic bc they have a bit of social anxiety and they like to collect the labels.
Yeah if you "believe in DID" then you haven't really been reading the thread.
If anything like compartmentalized personalities exists, then the people who genuinely suffer with that are off in some fugue state somewhere trying to deal with it. They aren't on TikTok squeezing the stuffing out of teddy bears in some kind of tard death-grip whilst moaning about their xiy/xymz pronouns and being a troll from Homestuck.
These people do have something wrong with them, but it isn't what they think it is. Their stupid anime harem roleplay masturbation fantasy bullshit isn't real.
Yeah, maybe autism isn't the root cause of whatever this is, but it's pretty obvious that the people with stunted social skills are going to be the ones who are more likely to try this as some kind of strategy for attention or to excuse their weird habits.

I mean I very much have been reading the thread and I don’t and haven’t disagreed with a single thing you’ve said there. My main and only real point was that I don’t believe autism is the driving force behind their idiotic attention seeking behaviour. As far as DiD being real I have read this thread and haven’t seen a single post proving or disproving it’s existence so tell me where you did please? Aside from that any condition wether it’s DiD or not if it causes horrific cases of derealisation, depersonalisation, amnesia etc that must be awful to live with, I can have sympathy for those that may actually struggle whilst also condemning those that are faking and making shit up.

Since DIDHatchery's dox was posted on the Brianna Elsie Gage/Alternative System thread, I did some internet sleuthing googling and found this interesting tidbit of information:

"Gainesville Improv guild"...as in improv acting. You don't say :story:

There's been any number of things posted here saying that the existence of the condition in its entirety is hotly debated among professionals, edging towards no, or at very least that anything resembling what could be considered a legitimate form of it is the result of trauma comorbid with something else. What isn't under debate is that DID, certainly as these TikTards are presenting it, is fake as fuck.
As I said, anyone dealing with their brain spontaneously compartmentalizing itself is off trying to deal with it.
I also said that I didn't think autism was the driving force behind faking this. I said there's going to be a natural correlation between people who have that, and other conditions that affect social skills, and doing this nonsense for attention.

Her vibe/presentation of DID reeks of "yes and"-ing. She has also said she tried to be a stand-up comic. I think she's truly mentally ill but her channel is a pretty obvious (if amateur) demo reel where she treats her alters like "characters."
I can't decide whether she's being manipulated by Erik or if she's in on the joke

Definitly in on the joke,
She's been in Alts streams joking about her faking attempts and
Definitly seems to bring Erik and others in to her littles Autist cry fest
She dosnt seem innocent
Non of the DID Youtube
Munchies do

In today's news, Entropy has come back, savior complex and all, to tell us why The Crowded Room is going to ruin the life of every single DID larper.

She spends the majority of the video talking about what she thinks DID is because she needs the ad revenue wants to educate people. But there's a beautiful moment at around 8:15 where she goes on about how amazing and brave she is, despite faking a mental illness.

And right after giving herself ass pats, she says the team behind The Crowded Room can feel free to contact her so she can help them make a better series. The level of self-importance is just wonderful to behold.

AnnaLynne McCord has always been a train wreck and doesn’t have a “career” to speak of. None of these LARPers have DID, they have at best (worst) a cluster B personality disorder but most likely they’re just pathetically starved for attention. It’s not that deep.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled programing for our latest news story. Is the Trans to Plural pipeline real? Is mental illness contagious? We'll let you decide this one folks. All of this stuff was taken from the Caves of Qud discord server, if anyone is curious. It is a genuine honey pot for anyone who is a fan of internet insanity since the tranny jannies in charge are very involved in moderation and the fact that you need to pass a screening process to get in, so everyone feels very safe to express themselves.

Ah, what do we have here? 299 people who identify as plural on a server that has around 5000 members. I wonder why?

Hmm, I was not aware a mainstay of the queer community is larping... Didn't fool anyone with that one, huh.

Here we can see a system in its natural habitat, never passing up an opportunity to spread the contagion. I love how this stuff spreads like a disease in these community's, hand in hand with... I don't know what exactly to call it, but typical trans ideology you see online, along with the whole egg cracking terminology. If being trans is simply a matter of your own "truth", being mentally ill is too!

Nothing unexpected here.

"Plural eggs" :o

This stuff is everywhere when you look for it. Taking inane, normal experiences ("sometimes I pretend I'm talking to an audience" - something everyone who wishes they had a podcast has done) and making them exclusive indicators of some special identity. It's probably more potent in discords where there's direct conversation, but the same applies to "If you like X, you're gay" memes, "if you cut your hair like this, you're bi." They're disguised as in-jokes about experiences that may be more common than average among the Kweers, but imagine scrolling over dozens of those a day and thinking, "Is there something about myself I need to examine?" That's the effect of it, and because they tie it into such Fun Things, it's easy for people to cast aside an old identity for a new one that gets them in on the joke.

I've just always hated memes that speak TO me or FOR me, and now I see it's because it mimics this weird indoctrination style.

Discord has so many people abusing the plural system (he/she/they/them pronouns) which makes me wonder if the place is filled with bots or real people that identify with a bogus disorder like DID or BPD

At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, the definition for what this person has described sounds like something that a crisis actor would use to have invent a situation like this to not be responsible for your own self-inflicted “trauma”.
