Spoiler: Episode 3: I should make these as I play them.

Last episode we had the between towns content, caught 6 pokemon, and beat up both of our rivals. Now we head into Gadech City and face our first Gym Leader, who they didn't even change from the original version.

Outside is Route 2 again, luckily I've seen this mistake a couple times before and don't assume it's a new Route where I can catch new Pokemon(could only get Dunkypea anyways)

First bit of advice in town. If I'm dumb enough to time travel on accident, I'm dumb enough to try and Nuzlocke this, plus I'll just bend the rules around your bullshit, it's not like the God of Nuzlocking is watching me.

Upon entering the Pokecenter, a Scientist harrasses me about Wonder Trading. We have a credit for the upcoming gym battle, so we say goodbye to Won't Miss

And receive the Fighting type Armando, Leg XD in return! This will be very handy in the upcoming fight with Brock.

In one of the houses in town, a guy offers to trade me a Pokemon strong against Brock... but I don't have the Gutsifly.

A bug catcher gives a tip on a free Pokemon, who is sleeping in this field. It even changes to a lullaby tune as I walk up to it.

And it's the aforementioned Blobbos! I name him SleepyJuan since I found him on a midday siesta. The old lady said it learned lots of moves and Transformed into other Pokemon, but it just appears to be a Ice/Rock type... It has Full Power ability which is nice, but I bench him for now.

Looks like we are meeting the villain team, they head out to whatever is in place of the Museum.

This fat man on the street offers to teach one of my Pokemon Metronome. Now the problem with Metronome in a Nuzlocke is you can roll a crit failure onto a suicide move... so I'm putting this up to the audience, other than Arabomb, who would you like to see be a straight Metronome gambling Pokemon?

This based gentleman is hanging out in the store, but the Rabbi above him assures me that there is nothing inherently wrong with having a near-monopoly.

I forgot to mention this last episode, but the stores offer a even lower tier of Pokeball. For only a 50% discount, I'm not sure it's worth whatever catchrate it has.

Outside we discover a pedophile who exposes himself to us, and then gives us the HM Flash to do the same to others. It's a vicious cycle.
Upon entering the Gadech Museum of technology, we discover a robbery in process.

His first Pokemon is a snake with a fist on the end of it's body, Coofer blows COVID all over it.

The second Pokemon is Dragun. Probably a Dragon type, it uses ember to little effect.

Here is my team going in, a bit underleveled, I should of known Brock's Poekmon levels here, but I'm sure it'll be fiiiiiiiine.

Coofer makes his Armando another COVID statistic, and CANCER2nds gets rid of the oven the rabbi in the Pokemart has been dodging.

The first match up is a mirror Lanshil match that I forgot to screen grab anything of, but Milyobita made short work of him.

Next up is Ballacle, it looks like a basketball take on Binacle... shame I left RealNigga in the computer, he seems perfect for this. I shift into Armando.

Yes I'm using shift instead of set, I've heard this game is rough on Nuzlockers ok?
Armando gets a good hit, but Rock Tomb puts her in rough shape so I switch back to Milyobita.

Rock Tomb doesn't do much to him. Magnitude will make short work of the rest of this gym.

But Ballacle knows arm thrust!

I switch to Coofer but Brock trades out for Chompest.

Coofer takes some hits so Leg XD can take a drink of fresh water. She trades in and gets a good Arm Thrust in but barely survives herself. I take a gamble that Leg XD is faster, in the shock of Milyobita's death, I don't remember.

Second Arm Thrust does the trick.

Ballacle is all that's left, but the team is in rough shape.
I shift into GodIsGreat, and hope he's faster than Ballacle.

HE'S NOT! Fortune favors me though and GodIsGreat hangs on with A SINGLE HP!

But he finishes it off!

We get the Boulderbadge, and TM39 Rock Tomb for our efforts.

And we have infinite usage TMs in this game.

But now we have to lay Milyobita to rest...

And with that we bring this episode to an end. We've ripped the bandaid of Pokemon death off, which is good, cause there are surely more to from what everyone warns me. What will we face on Route 4 and Mt. Moot?

I'm going to try and do a better job documenting important fights, I didn't take a screen grab of how Kekturk took damage, and I don't remember what he did in the fight other than a risky swap in that I chickened out of after one blow.

Good stuff. I'll confess I was a bit disappointed we weren't getting Brock til the next episode, and it was great to see that episode 3.5 after it. Even Brock's a noticeable difficulty spike compared to the normal first gym in official games. I went in underleveled, expecting to use weaknesses to be enough and his chompest nearly single-handedly wiped my team, lol. I'm not very good at pokemon.

I'm kinda surprised how poor my memory of the game is, I remember most of the Fakemon, but a lot of the story and location details completely left my brain. Which I'm actually ok with doing this as a kinda blindish play through. The wiki got axed a couple months ago, but I have a pastebin of all the raw data, so I'm trying to document who we could of caught in each route, and I'm going to be looking up trainer levels and preparing for the boss like battles.

I don't remember exactly where I left off in my playthrough, I want to say between Gym 3 and 4 or 4 and 5. I remember getting to a very long branching route, going back and forth to heal was a real pain. It felt like the first section of the game that was very poorly designed.

I would be down with each shop having a limited quality that never refills. At least for HP restores, status cures should still be infinite. It's a very known limitation, that you can work and plan around.

Psychic Gym and Champion Battle are good uses for it.

Spoiler: As for the champion...

The champion uses a Wifemin, which is pretty much Clover's Gardevoir. Minus the fairy type.

just a heads up in case you don't know but Pokémon Clover only lets you use 4 healing items per battle and does not let you use revives during a battle (Since this is a nuzlocke this last one doesn't really affect you).

Unjoy is Blissey but with better special attack ability and typing.

Straight upgrade tbh. I didn't use it because I had been using Aromatherapy Phantash in the same role since Vitalya (the first grass form learns it) but could I have been bothered to level one Unjoy would have been entirely superior.

After successfully beating Brock on a meteor 10,000 light years away from the Fochun region, we head out from Gadech City onto Route 3...

Route 3 has little to know changes from the Kanto version.

We catch a Dunkypea named Nuggie, and a Pixila named TheSecret

TheSecret is Bug/Fairy! I suspected Fairy was added to the region, but this is the first confirmation that I noticed.

The two available Pokemon we missed this Route... I'm not sad.

Outside Mt Moon's replacement, Mt Moot, we find another move trainer, who will teach someone Present...

So CANCER2nds learns how to leave presents inside his opponents.

There is another Rabbi hanging out in the Pokecenter. No comments yet about how many regions they have been kicked out of yet, but I'll be disappointed if they don't make that joke. He does however give me the TM for Theif

We catch a Wedgard in a random encounter, Sanddevil.

That we name TheLuggage. I love the Luggage from Discworld, so I'm already attached to her. She has Payday, which is generating a lot of money in grinding up levels, and I also teach her Theif from the TM.

Unfortunately we miss getting one of these.

We choose the Tooth Fossil over (I think) the Horn Fossil.

We also get a second Fossil. the Raptor Claw, that grosses him out.

I decided to grind up the rest of my team that's still dangerously underleveled, in the process...

We start out with her Maymay(I'm sure she thinks this is the best Pokemon ever) versus Leg XD

One Mach Punch takes more than half. Maymay uses what seems like a Metronome like ability Assist, letter him use Charge Beam. Another Mach Punch puts it down.

I don't know what to expect from this, so I lead with a somewhat neutral RealNigga.

RealNigga has Beat Up, which is quite powerful at this low stage and often one shots Pokemon with my full team.

It's even Super Effective!

For the starter fight, her Grasshole as evolved into Analgae.

Ember doesn't do a lot for a super effective attack, but luckily Analgae's Bullet Seed does even less in return.

-So the next town is Actuvit... oh Arceus did I just learn something from Keksandra?

We meet this trainer out on Route 4, as a Typical Bird Thread Enjoyer over in General, I sympathize with this kid.

We catch a Spanke, kink.com, anda Sapleaf, EarlGreen on Route 4. Having a Grass type will help if the second gym is still water based. (These were the only available to me on this Route and both have a 5% encounter rate... so that was annoying but not horrible.

And with that, we reach the border of Actuvit City and the end of this episode. Next time we'll see if there is activities north of town, if we discover who the Pokemon Storage system is, and take on our second gym leader.
