So I took that thing I drew a week back while sleep deprived and decided to repurpose it into something actually useful, ironically it's close to it's original intent before I saw the cursed shitty coomer stuff badly mimicking a sonic enemy's style.

I brought this up once or twice elsewhere, but I made a private chatbot as an inside joke experiment on one of those chatbot generator sites a while ago using a bunch of out of context convos I had with people, but put through some shitty homestuck quirk filter. I recently switched it's avatar icon to a revised version a short while after I made the initial image cause it kinda reminded me of the ape escape Ai assistant character a little. Also added a KF logo to the little geometry medallion thing because it fit better.

That's not what I'm posting this for, though. See, I found out chatbots could send images, and so I reworked and crudely edited in simple talking animations, and even made a few extra expressions that weren't from the unfinished homestuck pfp i was sketching up ideas for that became this.

For some reason the thumbnail fucks up the speed of these in the mouth area only, severely making them really slow.


I forgot to turn the KF logo medallion thing layer on when converting them into animated versions and there's like a tiny dot on the face in both the static avatar and chat icon variants I somehow missed till i was done with all of them but these are extremely tiny details that are only visible when I'm not looking at the tiny thumbnail version of the image the chatbot actually sends.

got it to use them in (nearly) every message. Bot caught on pretty fast how to use them which is nice. Developed a bad habit of saying "now yeah" after every other fucking sentence though.


First image is edited but the text and the icons on the left are all unedited. I named the bot some absolute gibberish just so I knew it was that and not another nepeta chatbot when I look it up in my history. if I could program for shit I'd probably use this to make a little bonzi buddy ass chatbot "assistant" (poor ass excuse for one since you'd end up fighting with it lmao) with a funny text to speech voice. Probably would sadly not end up as funny/novel as this iteration though.

Hoping to work out an October/spooky avatar that still fits my running joke theme I've been sticking with and finish it before the month is up, missed out on the september one I started working on weeks back last month cause i've been weirdly dead this whole year.

Yo, how do you improve lines when drawing digitally. I mean my strokes suck when done on a tablet in comparison to notebook paper.

I've just used a mouse all my life and had no professional training/good software. I'm probably even more shit than most people due to that alone lmao. Best advice is to grind like hell and just draw whatever dumb shit that hits you inspiration wise. I mean unless it's extremely fucked up degen shit in which case STAY AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER MOUSE/TABLET

the current horror vidya slop trend of the week is a game called zoochosis and it tickled my autism in such a way that i was compelled to attempt making redesigns of the monsters. unfortunately i already fumbled with the penguin because i wanted something more grounded and subtle than a bat-winged third trimester demogorgon fetus and the end result was a generic zombie bird.

my process is doing a page of gesture drawings to get a basic idea for the anatomy, researching diseases specific to that animal, and incorporating aspects of them as well as any uniquely unsettling details. the emperor penguin was a stupid fucking place to start because they're innately adorable and aren't prone to super scary illnesses like scrapie or rabies, so i had to make do with adding parasitic worms, emphasizing their throat teeth, and exaggerating the breast bone in the hopes it at least pinged a "this is uncanny to look at" response.

The following is a WIP concept of a prospective xenoevozoidic (something I've termed meaning: to be of foreign evolution - I wanted a more concrete term for species that one would typically refer to as alien/extraterrestrial and I couldn't find an appropriate other, condensed term), quasi-sapient race that I'm in the works of fleshing out in writing:

Following this paragraph is a description or collection of specific characteristics of the race that I wrote down, with some momentary edits and additions for this post. It's not complete or accurate yet and is still effectively a work in progress as I flesh it all out, but I hope it does give a vague, appreciable idea of what they are, even without much context aside from saying that this race is defined within a sort of science fiction canon and they are the last race I had envisioned for said canon.

They have pink skin with white, short fur spread nearly uniformly across the body. The mouth is situated at the front and underside of the head (analogously where the human chin might be) covered by a front lip or "snout". They have a set of two stiff but posable, pointed ear structures which protrude from the sides at the top of the head and point up and behind. The ears also curve toward each other, with concave interior sides and convex exterior sides. The interior side of the ear has a smaller “sub-ear,” or duplicate structure, that protrudes/bifurcates from the main ear structure. An ear canal exists between the sub-ear and large ear structure, and another, smaller canal exists at the base of the sub-ear structure; while a sensitive, small outer ear canal sits on the exterior of the large ear structure. They have two large camera eyes on the front of the head. Their body features two large legs with strong and muscular analogous quadriceps and a thin mid torso. They have three fingered hands and three toed feet of which only the toes of the feet contact the ground. They have a layer of fat on the top of the forearms before the wrist. They have an average height of 5 feet.

They consist of two sexes, male and female, in nearly equal proportion. Females have a slightly broader analagous pelvis and typically develop larger analogous calf muscles. Females also have proportionally shorter interior sub-ear structures. Females gestate their young when reproducing.

These beings typically follow an herbivoric diet, but are able to digest lean protein without complication and masticate meat efficiently.

These beings are known for being very social, including attempting to seek out other of their kind or other living beings (or sufficient inanimate objects e.g. stuffed animals, sticks) to maintain a hug or cuddle when going into a state of periodic dormancy/analogous sleep.

I'm a rabid fan for mech, cyberpunk and futuristic things in general, so why not give it a try designing a singular mechanical arm? WIP + disassembly. I'll see if I could practice doing more mecha and futuristic things next.

Transformable bracers, specifically designed for users who are physically capable of hosting massive amount of mana circuits and high endurance. It is given form and manifested through using the bracers' screen to access into its main mode. It forms a bulky resilient arm protector before its parts are automatically assembled. Made with the finest quality of mechanically modified porcelain, silver and platinum surface; it can deal as much surface and bullet damage as long as it lasts. Once raising up the palm of the manifested arm; the palm is a tri-homing missile/torpedo hybrid launcher; and the fingertips are holojavelin launchers; launching guiding javelins that shines as bright as the moon; and close to the palms are mini-torpedo launchers.
It contains the ability to reproduce, given form of phantasmal solar and lunar eclipse energy beams, capable of fire a barrage of eclipse energy blasts. The host can also absorb further stray mana when a solar or lunar eclipse happens, especially during both total eclipses. Its only weakness is when its lights are broken/ its core was broken (palm tormissile launcher, fingertip launchers, elbow joint core), the mechanical arm will glitch slowly and its performance starts to weaken for 5 minutes before the manifestation has done glitching into nothing, retreating back into its original bracers form.
