I specced into hacking, longer duration, more range, more gauge and the one for damage reduction when below a certain threshold. Shotgun seems to be the best out of the Red weapons so far, at least I like it the most.

The charge spike gun thing is good but a lot of the combat encounters are super close range so the shotgun shines

Got done beating the game after around 15 or so hours and trying to finish up on post-game stuff, I think the game really shines with the red zone/trials where you're swarmed by waves of enemies and have to use the hacking to it's full potential.

The interactions between Diana and Hugh are very heartwarming. It’s great for people who love kids (in the normal way) but not people who love kids if you know what I mean.

I heard it's pretty short. Like 8-10 hours. But I played the demo and thought it was pretty good.

Yeah the base game is short, about 9 hours if you're not backtracking and hitting most of the red zones. To Capcom's credit though there is a nice chunk of post-game content: New Game+ with the usual goodies, an Unknown Signal mode (which is used to unlock a secret ending), and Lunatic difficulty level. Easily 20+ hours of content total which helps justify the price.

Shotgun seems to be the best out of the Red weapons so far, at least I like it the most.

Shottie is definitely the best, I want to like the photon laser (because laser) but it doesn't seem to have the same impact. Plus there's something very satisfying with how the shotgun handles, particularly when you pair it with either stasis or decoy.
