Containment Random Chris Updates

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
I still think they're using the new medallions, amiboos, mini Sonic totems etc. to ship drugs lol. It just makes no sense that things clearly not hand-made by Chris himself are such in high demand and they keep getting restocked. Am I to believe that the artifacts collectors who are waiting for Chris to die to make their loot valuable would care about 3D printed trash?

Is this really confirmed that she pays for him?
I only remember the reddit guy who spotted them at an Italian restaurant before Christmas saying she paid the dinner. From the Babscon email leak we know Chris paid for both tickets.

Maybe?

Does that make business sense?

If she paid for a meal at a restaurant then perhaps that was just her being courteous as a guest.
That doesn't mean she was paying for everything they did then.

See, because of this revelation, I actually wanted to check something.
If Chris's medallions were actually 3D printed, they'd look the exact same. So I went to the Etsy to check. And surprise, surprise!

All Chris's medallions after late November are identical and resin printed!
One side lower than the other, flat, large, same shape
Probably a mold was made off of a single medallion and then resin printed.
This is also confirmed via pics from the auctions.

Praetor - shiny, no marks that it was handmade, resin
il_794xN.5403704616_tktq.jpg
Chris prior - molded by hand, not consistent shape, marks of fingers
il_794xN.5699291798_603p (1).jpg
And then this, the Megastone medallion

This is not illegal, but scummy. Especially since people pay mainly because they believe Chris made them by hand.

This is also probably why the November 3 moulding lviestream, November 10 signing stream, and November 14 Etsy comment review were made, to hide the fact they were switching to fully resin printed ones.

If you're selling something claiming its something its not I'd consider that pretty damn fraudulent and a potential business killer.

Congrats to Praetor for being the only people willing/able to mass produce Chris Chan Crap in a scumbag way!

Yes. It is fraudulent.

But seriously, unless someone cares enough to take it to trading standards, then what is really going to happen?

Sega, and probably Nintendo (Or whoever actually holds the Pokémon copyright) could do them for infringement though.
It's one thing when it is just a weird socially crippled autist essentially making fanfiction, it's quite another when a complete admitted knock off character is being sold without their kickback.

So what's going on in Sandy Hook Virgina?

Could someone relevant to Chris-Chan be living there?

Re-edit: not that fraudulent (not OG mb) OC medallions aren't interesting, but who's making these medallions is even more to me

A praetor crony is suspected to be living there with a 3d printer.
And do you think this particular person might have something to do with a popular vegetable?

Although to be fair I really hate cabbage. It's right up there with celery and olives. Yech.

It's next to Goochland, where all 4 OG Praetors went to High School and where they had the Praetor business.

That’s not how resin printing works. Unless there’s been some developments I’m not aware of, you need a .stl file of the 3D model you want to print, and don’t simply pour resin into a mold. Even if there was such a pourable resin they were using, the back of the medallions would be completely level and smooth.

The quality of resin prints vary depending on the printer and the type of resin used, but the models typically leave “layer lines,” or tiny lines running across the the entire model, which I don’t see from the photos. My medallions, for example, do have layer lines which aren’t terribly obvious but still there, and I just don’t bother with removing them by sanding or covering up with thick primer or paint.

In my opinion, Praetor are utilizing molds made from a single medallion and simply pushing a wad of clay into it, making the faces appear to be generally the same shape. There is some variation in the backs if you look closely. There could be two or more people working on them considering the different eye designs, as everyone has their own way of drawing. The shininess could be because they are sealing the models with a glossy varnish rather than matte.

If I were trying to exploit Chris-Chan for money, one of the most important members of the team would be a "boyfriend-free" girl to coax him around. And you can bet she'd pay for most of the "dates" in public, because she's on an expense account.

So get a local girl, especially if you have local people, which it appears Caden does.

Some random chick from who knows where means too many moving parts and too long between meetings.

What if some other pack of ne'er-do-wells simply stalk Chris and get some other "Boyfriend Free Girl" to approach him in public and flirt with him?

It's funny that these praetor made medallions while not as old as the original, being made from resin and presumably coated in protective sealant means they will hold up a lot better than the moldy hunk of Crayola crap Chris has worn around his neck all these years.

(Seriously if he was any more infantile than he already is he'd have made the medallion out of play d'oh)

All his life. The promise if sweet succulent China has been Chris one weakness. He's like the original simp Cesar himself thirsting over cleo, and the man in the pickle suit was his mark Anthony. The one the thot wanted all along.

I can't wait to be the expert that people call to authenticate whether or not their heirloom Sonichu medallion is legit or not.

Interesting. Let us not forget the almost martyred vibe and probably look if not for that pesky face covering she wears.

Hell, if she were brunette and a little taller she could almost be Megan.

Same weird ass hair style with the short bangs and the long hair.

Definitely from a bygone era of the 80s and 90s.

Surprised people are only now catching on to Praetor's untrue and dishonest recreations. As someone who has gone out of their way to learn exactly how these things are made, it's easy to see that none of their store offerings look like what chris used to make in his tutorials, nor do they seem to follow his tried and true workflow for making them, so it's interesting how as soon as Praetor got involved their style changed so much. It's unlikely they're even made out of crayola model magic, due to the extended curing time that it has before it becomes solid and paintable, and the amount that was sold even during chris' incarceration. (yes, the "handmade by chris" medallions where sold even whilst he was in jail. how?)

My guess is literally none of the medallions sold since the store opening have actually been made by chris, merely promoted and worn by him. Praetor saying that they're handmade by chris himself has always pissed me off, especially the sheer amount of dumbasses who've fallen for it thinking they own a piece of "christory" when in reality it's cabell over in goochland with a cookie cutter and cheap paint.
