Somewhere on r/okbuddyrosalyn (the Calvin and Hobbes funposting subreddit), there is an edit of that comic where Calvin literally lets his mind wander. In the edit, after he releases his brain, he goes "the left can't meme", to which his mom replies "the right can't read" -- so it's yet another SJW claim that "all of a kind are alike" yet again.

A Wider Ideological Gap Between More and Less Educated Adults

While the survey claims that 54% of post-graduate people are "progressive", the survey doesn't acknowledge that universities are quite often or usually "woke" indoctrination centers, and it may be hard for someone with a dissenting "far right" worldview to make it through. Despite smug soys claiming that non-SJWs are all ignorant and uneducated.

"the right can't read"
Leftists not understanding that the purpose of memes is to be funny and visceral will never not amuse me.

"What do you MEAN my meandering 12 paragraph screed with no point other than "rightoids are bad" isn't a good meme? YOU'RE JUST ILLITERATE!"

It'd be like accusing someone who thinks that a scene in a movie has too much unnecessary dialogue of "not understanding film", it's just smarmy hipserism and ego.

I just had some questions about fucking VLC... Is it really that hard to keep the gooning private?

Someone posted a picture from the 80s of Elon Musk and his siblings.

Naturally, there was plenty of zoomer mean girl bullshit, but mostly Reddit did what they're most comfortable with: judging the appearances of underaged children.

For context, Musk was 17 here, his brother was 16, and his sister was 14.

In case you feel like being charitable and assuming these Redditors are also teens, here's the horrible truth.

When therealmintoncard isn't saying 16 year old boys "got the looks in that family", he's busy posting epic toys he bought at Target and rating people on r/GayRateMe. Please don't think too hard about this! It's forbidden!

reddit less insufferable but it's not going to
I heavily disagree. A large part of the moderation issue is and has always been, that having a small cabal of mods, makes it very easy for them to coordinate actions across literally hundereds to thousands of subreddits. Bardfinn, the king of the tranny jannies, and his bot masstagger (which is worth looking into for those unaware), are a far more powerful tool when you have the same group of at most 15 moderators that work with each other.
When you expand that to several hundered people (likely far more than that given the note of "visitors" and no subscribers), that coordination becomes much harder. Not only from the issue of impeding coordination by numbers, but also many of these new mods likely, even if they're reddit queers, probably just don't really care enough to keep a running banlist of random users they're not even aware of, let alone have a problem with.
True, this solution is not a silver bullet, but I think that criticism is useless, because there are no silver bullets. However, I do think this could be a very big deal in making the site less of a headache for all users.

Getting rid of powermods is a step in the right direction, but I doubt it'll make reddit less insufferable. Years of unchallenged, total control of the narrative has mindbroken most of the site's users.
Exemptions will be available: Bots

Yeah, it's a nothingburger.
Oh, they'll keep the mass botting from the DNC and liberal NGO's, don't you worry.

Maybe reddit's owners have finally realized that banning everyone who isn't an indigent severely mentally ill sex predator is seriously limiting their value to advertisers.

But the average redditor is also a gullible idiot that'll listen to whatever narrative the hivemind promotes. They're also hedonistic, easily controlled man/womanchildren. Advertisers LOVE people like this and I think that's a big reason why reddit is all about conformity, echo chambers and consensus.

The real problem how unhinged the userbase has gotten thanks to the echo chamber effect. They're starting to make the site look bad and people are starting to notice.

You all rate him optimistic, but Id bet this is the case. Reddit was no doubt aware of the power of the Cabal (the term for the 20 or so power mods that control most of reddit), but likely assumed it was a non-issue. The subreddit blackout the the cabal tried to orchestrate I imagine was a wakeup call for the admins that the tranny jannies do actually have fairly substantial sway on the site through their power and coordination.
I imagine after that affair was settled, the admins probably looked into the issue and found that complaints about mods and similar was the the largest and most frequent, given that even in discussions with normies, thats something they always point to (outside of the site being a general dumpster) as the biggest problem.

Im not saying this is reddit turning over a new leaf and the herald of a golden age, but I do think the admins want to break up the cabal so it stops them from bleeding users.

Except they don't. Redditors are the most worthless userbase on any major social media platform.
Thats news to me. You’d think they’d have found a way to milk Redditors dry with how Astro turfed the site is, but nope. All it produces is an army of useless slacktivists with severe mental illness.

ironically it is pretty easy to create a throwaway account and invent a sob story about being a poor abused wahmen or a disabled trans bi poc and milk a few dollars into a gofundme or directly to a cashapp. Predditors are eminently gullible.

You could also just pretend to be a woman and grift simpbux from gooners. Half the “female” userbase of the site advertises Onlyfans anyways.
