It really depends on the person. A jokey "hands off my girl" like the poster in question expected would be a quite normal response. Getting angry at her or the other guy would have been a tad overblown, maybe.

Now, OP's boyfriend decided to sperg about coffee. My uneducated guess is that the guy just did this to hide his feelings (and going off OP's description, he doesn't seem to show a lot, which in turn makes her feel as if he is creeped out by her). Slapping weird sexualities on him is probably unwarranted (at least without additional knowledge) and reeks of typical reddit.

@Fapcop, is there a continuation to this? I'm no psychologist, but I'm convinced that these redditors missed the mark by several miles at least.
Nope, no update. It’s fairly new.

I do however have another redditor with relationship problems, lol!

Lmao one of the actual rules on r/sexoffendersupport is "you'll be banzored if you come in here and tell the chomos to kill themselves."

I'm agunna do it. #anarchybitchesfuckjannies
Well it doesn’t say that you can’t tell them that they should be killed by firing squad, so you’re really not breaking any rules.

OP has a problem. Her bf isn’t particularly sexual, a little shy around flirting and didn’t know how to react when she humblebragged about a guy asking her out.

Weird redditors immediately try to pounce and throw weird sexualities at him!

Or maybe it’s because he (shudders!) comes from a CONSERVATIVE home?!

She's probably humble bragged too many times before, and he doesn't give a shit.

At least the guy bringing up a conservative home is attempting to think of actually possible reasons why the guy might not be reacting as she expects. As opposed to the rest that are jumping straight to weird, poorly defined sexualities and/or hinting that she should break up with him.

Guy tries to make some conversation with a redditor.

She’s confused. What could it mean?!?

Other redditors are quick to jump in, proving the point that none of these people are familiar with social interactions irl.

the what

Redditors not be coombrained freaks for one second challenge (impossible) (turned sexual)

The thing I hate most isn't the wokeness or the coomers, it's that they're autistic in the unlikeable way but not the obsessive way. I'd like the niche subreddits if they were just autists sperging out about stuff they're passionate about, the sports ones are a great example of people with the dumbest takes becoming popular.

It takes a special kind of autism to reinterpret a normal conversation (“Oh you went to X’a party? Cool, did you get hammered?”) as some kind of possessive creepy guy-RED FLAG-RAPE! Situation.

Fortunately Redditors are in no short supply of that kind of autism.
