Serious question is there any app that you can browse Reddit or way without 200plus adds and aids. Rif finally got its plug pulled .

I use the Brave Browser, settings changed to "Request Desktop" on both my (Android) phone and dinosaur of an IPad. Both work (mostly) fine with Old Reddit, the one downside being any kind of embedded link is really tiny and sometimes going to YouTube or Twitter or even embedded Reddit videos can be a little wonky.

FWIW, I do the same for YouTube. Minimizing running videos keeps them running on my phone, but not on my IPad, dunno why.

Old reddit on Firefox with uBlock Origin is one of the closest things to that, I think.

Heh, I noticed the same thing. Was using read-only mode the last few weeks to keep tabs on a few actually decent subs. Does old.reddit work in mobile mode on browser?

I'm not the first person to say it, but I think I'll just stop using that God-forsaken website now. Unfortunate though, because those niche subreddits can be invaluable for nonpozzed discussion and fixing tech issues.

I believe Old reddit does still work that way.
