I remember something like this where someone was claiming that a finger in the end of a gun barrel would stop a bullet. Cue all the autismos going "I served in the military/have been a gunsmith for centuries blah blah" and he would just come back with "nuh-uh your finger would stop the bullet." I can't find it right now, but I remember the experts getting really cross. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I saw people in the military refuse some vaccines and get away with it. It really depends on how you argue it. The successful ones were all religious exemptions. None of that applied to the jab and a lot of companies told people not to bother trying to circumvent the requirements with religious arguments.

On the night they announced that Trump won the election, I was Out On The Town. I will remember forever the sight of people my own age sat in the middle of the street weeping arm in arm about the election results. People standing in huddles, crying and swearing. Full grown adults crying into their knees on the ground. Bro hadn’t even been sworn in. It was WILD.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who experienced this. I had to calm down co-workers the morning after freaking out that every Mexican in our office was going to get rounded up and thrown in prison by the end of the week.
