reddit General

Whoa, you're saying 99% of Reddit moderator actions are actually mentally ill freaks abusing their power?

No way! If only anyone anywhere had realized this ages ago, this could have been avoided!

Gee whiz, I sure do have confidence knowing that the same administrators who let these corrupt mods get away with that for years are now putting other corrupt mods in power!

Did these guys manually go through 5156 bans and determine only 63 were valid, for free? Thats abojt 258 bans per mod assuming all 20 were going through these. That broom must be worn to the handle by now.

it was one mod that searched through the majority of the bans

As it turns out, the powertripping r/art Reddit mods unjustly banned over 5000+ people THIS YEAR ALONE!
>Only 63 had a valid reason for a ban
>The 5000+ bans were done by one person

This guy is such a weak crybaby, holy shit

And yet another post where a single comment gets a person banned. "Also you've been reported for harassment" :story:

50% of the bans were done from "short comments", and a large share of it was people asking for socials/prints/etc. Wow...

His ego is now deflated :story:

Imagine if you will: having your head so far up your own ass and being so high on the smell of your farts that you ban ~ 16 people a day from an art discussion group. Holy shit the levels of faggotry on reddit never cease to amaze me.

Semper Fi, whichever poor bastard that was. :semperfidelis:

"Also you've been reported for harassment" :story:
lmao just like in the Discord DMs. "Uhm did you just use the appropriate channels to ask me about your ban? That's harassment!"

And the biggest blackpill of them all is that Redditors will believe this was an isolated incident instead of the foundation of Reddit mod culture.

Update to the Reddit r/art print saga: a new moderation team of 20 moderators and one Reddit admin is taking over the subreddit! link (archive)

This aligns with my experience on Reddit generally. You get banned by some retard and no other mods check each others work so all it takes is 1 activist with no life to slowly swing a subreddit in any direction they want.

Most Reddit activity follows the 80:20 rule where you just need to ban people in the 20% that you dislike and the 80% tend to follow.

DEA press release out of Florida and around 12% of all the cocaine samples they took contained some level of fentanyl in it. If you're still doing cocaine in 2025 you have a death wish.
Not every retard on this website lives in USA. Some retards live in south america, asia, or northern europe! Our cocaine is better.

Damn, I need to hire whoever looked over the majority of 5k bans so quickly. That level of autism could be harnessed to make myself millions (while paying "her" - let's be real, it's gotta be a troon - peanuts).

I imagine if it's organized in a list where the ban is connected to the comment and you can just scroll down it, you could make it through at a pretty steady clip. Plus, it could also be the case that that point about "we don't think asking for prints/socials is worth a permban" meant that they could probably ctrl+f certain keywords like (Twitter/Instagram/Prints/etsy et al) and shave off quite a few of them without needing to look at the report itself.

Dude was born during the Lyndon B. Johnson administration and he's spending the last two decades of his life acting like this on reddit. We need to bring back insane asylums.

This whole r/art drama is a microcosm of everything wrong with Reddit. One power tripping asshole issues 4,000 bans and only a tiny fraction of them are for actual rule violations. And thats just the art sub. One can only imagine the ratio of arbitrary bans to legitimate ones on the more political subs.
