That's a massive 'check the hard drive' situation for sure. I haven't seen this much funny nonsense out of Reddit, maybe ever. It's not really how he looks/talks as bad as that is, but it's the self righteous power tripping. Just straight up:

He has to know people are going to clip this to death, right? I can already envision the "I'm a reddit janitor" spiel as a meme gag in the next Pyrocynical video.
 
Reddit should introduce negative wages for moderators. They could auction off the moderator positions to generate revenue. I am sure most reddit jannies would agree to pay a monthly fee to janny, and that it would only make them feel more important 😀

Summary:

I was an exceptionally powerful mod.
I got suckered in and couldn't smell the obvious bullshit (which I created) about a stupid fucking game.
The people with the bullshit realized I was an idiot and told me insane things of who was backing it that only a fucking retard would believe.
I started selling the bullshit.
Others who had working nasal passages posted about the bullshit smell being overpowering.
I abused my power and silenced them through deletion and subversion. I was God and it was allowed.
I got caught.
I got fired.
I am now complaining that I was under appreciated.
I am now complaining that I had too much power and Reddit does nothing to stop idiots with too much power from making mistakes like I made. They do not offer brain transplants for idiots like me. This is wrong!
You do not recognize people who try to get side-gigs by abusing Mod positions as being valuable.
It would not have happened if Reddit had "Moderated" my behavior.
I am not qualified to mod myself. Or others. But I like it.
I am a nobody and the real problem with reddit is that I was able to rise within it.
Reddit is to blame for allowing me to rise within it, so you should thank me.
My being an idiot isn't my fault, it is your fault, Mr. CEO.
I should be the CEO as I am a genius and could 2x Reddit.
I have a hot girlfriend in Armenia who will soon travel to be with me after she spends all the money I sent her to fix her sick dog, and even if it is a scam (which is ISN'T) I have a fortune in Somalia once the papers are signed from a dead uncle I never met.

This guy lives in his mom's basement. He hasn't seen the sun in 15 years. He has never had sex and will not reproduce. He is pretty slick with a comb and hides his balding very well. He will be forever remembered and this video will become legendary along with the Roy Philipose video. He will move to France in 5 years and demand under the "Forget" law that this video be deleted and scraped from the Internet.

Let me see if I captured this right.
-he takes his job very fucking seriously.
-he clearly went solo unilaterally to try and set up a collab with some stream event, despite using "we" constantly.
-it gets negative reactions immediately and he goes on a mod power spree deleting negative comments.
-streamers eventually think the event is a scam, the event collapses as streamers drop out.
-he thinks this pr failure is not his problem, but reddit's on a structural level for not spitshining mods' cocks MORE and assembling their lawyers and full resources to make mods more successful.
-he thinks reddit mods can destroy multibillion dollar companies on a whim and not enough respect is being given to their very very important jobs.

The absolute kicker that made me laugh out loud is the complete lack of self awareness at the 11 minute mark or so when he describes how wounded he is that action was taken against him without what he believes to be adequate reasoning given. NIgger, how many THOUSANDS of people have you banned with some meme ass reasoning? And you get dethroned and think you deserve better?

This janny rant is a fucking riot, I'm sorry, it's just so funny. :story:
