Oh, "it is what it sounds like." Alright... So, a niche subreddit for people who post clips of themselves smacking their cats is near the top of /r/all and has 12k upvotes in a few hours because they heroically declared that orange man is bad.

In the Redditor's mind, Trump and ICE are the ultimate evil, right? So this kind of thing is on the same level as making a dumb performative post that just says "I HATE MURDERERS!" Completely without any substance and just fishing for updoots.

Reminds me of King Cobra when he'd just randomly say "fuck rape, fuck sickos!"
 
I'm sure this is considered some kind of Cowtouching/Pozzloading but I'm curious what would happen if you made an account, and immediately posted some shit on a mainstream subreddit like "If you like the Orange fascist and his ICE SS, [thing this subreddit is about] isn't for you, CHUD ;)." like the shit that's been posted here already, to see if it gets astroturfed.

Assuming no retarded karma rules force you to make 500 posts about hecking troonerino rights to be allowed to post, of course.

I think they're also genuinely incapable of understanding that there is an entire world outside America, and people from those countries want to use the site without being bombarded by politics that don't affect them.

It's insane. I'm on the opposite side of the world and Reddit keeps shoving anti-ICE shit into my feed despite me not following any related subreddits and always clicking "never show this to me again."

I saw an identical sentiment from some Arkham City subreddit. It's the very definition of tilting at windmills. No, in fact it's worse. At least the windmills Don Quixote attacked actually existed.

Yesterday I went to r/nba and literally the five most upvoted threads were anti-ICE propaganda. Hello, where are the fucking games??? I decided to delete r/nba from browser history, I'll check the scores and plays elsewhere.
 
The German nursing subreddit has a pro-ICE post.

The subreddit for the fucking insurance company Progressive has a pro-ICE post.

E: I'm retarded and meant anti-ICE. Reddit would never have pro-ICE posts

No, they're just for whatever is currently helpful for their side and against what is currently unhelpful. When Rittenhouse happened all these vapid wastes of flesh would have been against 2A, now they're for 2A. They have no internal consistency or belief system and operate solely on short-term memory.

I feel you. The worst part of being a lesbian is just how badly we lose the numbers games. Not just for dating and romance but just ..... generally. Can't have lesbian only ... anything because we simply lack the numbers and so it always ends up shutting down or broadening its client base until its no longer lesbian.
I don't think women simply being attracted to women in addition to men would help - look at how we get treated by bisexual women and the frequency with which bisexual women still partner with men despite the unequal dynamics of heterosexual relations. I just wish there were more lesbians.

I think there are plenty of women attracted to women. I think the issue is the amount of women who center and prioritize men over women in many facets of life beyond just romantic. If we were somehow able to live in a non-patriarchal/homophobic society, I don’t think it’d feel anywhere near as isolating.

I kinda feel like the quality of people I meet is really good though, even if the quantity is low. I only went on dates with about 5 people this past year, but I enjoyed the company of each of them and liked them all as people. I don’t mind having fewer options if those options are good, and by the end of the year I met someone really incredible
