This whole Blockbuster fetishizing thing is one of the more disgusting bits of consoomerism that's cropped up recently. They were a soulless garbage corporation that put tons of cool little local rental places out of business and I'm sure I wasn't the only one who was thrilled to see them go down in flames. Say what you will about James Rolfe and the Screenwave fatties, but that aesthetic they try for in the Rental Review setting is much closer to what a lot of people remember from that time period. A documentary about the heyday of those little mom and pop rental places would actually be pretty interesting if the right people did it.
I'm in my early 30s and have nostalgic memories of going to blockbuster to rent a game for the weekend. Back then, Blockbuster and Global Video were the two major chains. Smaller rental places did exist, usually as part of a local shop, but I don't remember them renting games or films I cared about.

I don't see much nostalgia for Global Video, but I assume that's because it was a British chain, and because it lacked a distinctive branding.

you can't in good faith say they have nothing to offer past mario and zelda.
That's technically true, and it's fair to say I completely forgot about Splatoon and Arms.

I think think a better (ie. pedantic) way to phrase it is "they have little to offer me" or "they don't offer me enough to justify the expense in both time and money". I don't care about nostalgia bait, Smash Brothers included, and the few new things they offer don't interest me much. Nintendo has some good stuff. I've heard nothing but good things about Bayonetta 2.

I know it's hypocritical of me to condemn Nintendo for making Mario and Zelda games for 30 years, while I'm a Resident Evil fan who is looking forward to a sequel of remake of a sequel, but that's how it is.

And unlike Bob, my dislike of Nintendo is simply that. If you like Nintendo, you do you, but I don't like them enough to give them my money. I don't try and find a way to call Mario fans bigots or claim Smash Bros players are all bad people that need to sent to the gulag.

"Do you still think a fetus is a person?"

Uh, yeah?

Also, way to dehumanize both conservatives and the unborn like that
"Personhood" is a social construct and is decided by legislation.
The only reason a fetus isn't a "person" is that our government doesn't issue birth certificates at the moment of conception.
This could easily change the same way it started, and only a unscientific buffoon believes the letter of the law makes a damn bit of difference in whether or not a human living fetus is a living human being on the biological level.
If a fetus was discovered at a crime scene, forensic investigators can determine 1) the approximate time of death, meaning at one point it was alive and 2) the species of the fetus, whether it's a human fetus, or elephant fetus, or giraffe fetus etc.
Bob's "intellectual purity tests" just expose how ignorant and stupid Bob is, and I enjoy the irony.

This particularly purity test is, I'm convinced, mostly Bob sucking up to feminists, which he does with as much sniveling sycophancy as the sneering superiority he demonstrates toward "the superstitious" and the Mayonnaise Ghouls.

The rest of his motives likely stem from resentment toward men who actually have a chance of impregnating a woman and the children created thereby.

Robert advocates for "idiot proofing" elections for the 36,276th time:
In addition to being dumb this statement is incredibly contradictory, as Robert absolutely supports restricting the right to vote for the ghouls:
Usual TDS and ranting about non-existent problems:
I regret that I have but only one vote to give and can't add lunacy to this.
The level of bile and sheer hatred in Robert's tweets never ceases to astound me.
And he just came off of having a nice presentation at PAX to boot. How the hell is he so bitter? Is he so delusional that he was expecting thousands of rabid neckbeards and hot, chinky broads to throw themselves at him due to the majesty of his panel and of course that didn't happen so he can't be happy with what he had? Is this the way he keeps his following following, by always being ridiculous and hateful? Or is he like Earnest P. Worrell and he never knows when to quit?

What the fuck is the Grand "Canyone"?
It's like a crayon but for smert and superior individuals like Robert.

it's weird how he talks like a 19th century Tory when talking about poor people.
That's not fair to 19th century Tories.
Ever heard of One Nation Conservatism?
Those guys believed that the upper class should paternalistically look after the lower classes.
Unlike Bob and the sociopathic nouveau riche "elite" he worships 19th century Tories believed in a, two way, social contract.
Even 150 years ago people understood how suicidally short sighted Bob's "fuck the plebs" mindset is.

I highly encourage Robert, in the unlikely event he ever makes a friend or two, to console a couple who just miscarried by explaining they didn't lose a person.

I think of these "you're a godbothering obsolescent if you think a fetus is a human being" tweets whenever I see him showing off his niece.

Sheeet homie I'm just delighted that someone gets the referance enough to follow up with a one nation referance.

Inflicting Robert on ordinary people is bad enough; why would you want to inflict him on someone who just lost their unborn baby? But it will never happen, of course. Robert's autistic and narcissistic lack of empathy means that it will literally never even occur to him to even try to say anything to comfort them, however malapropos.

Merry Christmas you filthy animals:

Haven't watched yet, still working, but I think it's the first time we get to see one of Robert's panel in full...

5 minute mark is when he starts bitching about 3d games ruining everything and destroying his childhood and made him feel old.

Half the fucking panel is

'MEMBER THIS?????
'MEMBER ARCADES?
'MEMBER SEGA?
' MEMBER CONSOLE WARS?
FORTNITE LLOL WUTZ THAT?

I can't even call them boomers because there's zero mention of Quake. It's like watching your parents hold a panel on games.

Also there's a load of clapping if someone recognizes something like Animal Crossing.

I missed the split second reference to Dragon Quest, so it looks like neither of the Chipmans ever played the series.

The TLDR of the panel:
