I know of a game that was bought for 500k USD by Jandel (who buys out tons of games) and the game went from 20k+ concurrent to 100 in a few months

Fisch was a really fun game that had 300-400k concurrent that now struggles to get above 75k. Yeah he's never being heard from again. Even after tax, that's still more than enough to buy anyone a decent house and a secure savings fund for a long time. I see this being yet another "nothing ever happens" kind of situation. A majority of Soul's behavior is him being a shitty/manipulative person, and being both of those isn't illegal. Although what Soul did was illegal by catfishing and (allegedly) spreading CSEM, it's hard to imagine that a judge would crack down on that as he was 13 during that time. Courts and Judges don't ever feel great about prosecuting someone over something they did as a 13 year old.
People on twitter probably won't want to accept this, but Soul won. All he has to deal with is probably a week or two of an internet blow up, and in return gets to walk away with 7 figures.

What's getting me more is that, for all of the talk of trying to sue Soul into giving his share wherever possible, with how people are talking about pursuing that it sounds like the only thing legally put to paper in any capacity was the game's sale. Now I'm legally a retard, but something tells me that the written agreements and signed papers that'd give any of these people a leg in that route don't exist, either because they're children who didn't figure they'd need them or (as is classic for Roblox) they're retarded adults who didn't think to demand them or draft them themselves. In short: Good luck!

You're right. This is where it becomes very interesting, because I know some friends who've sold their games before. This happens all the time now on roblox. The process usually works like this:
>i want to sell my game (or company approaches with an offer), an agreed deal is made
>a lawyer is hired/present in documenting the sale, legally transferring all rights from the seller to the buyer
>game ownership, groups, etc, is transferred to the buyer, seller wipes their hands clean
Soul, despite "giving up ownership" to the other developers still held the rights to the game. Knowing this, he went to someone (or was approached) with a good offer and sold these rights. These people who've the ownership was "transferred to" don't actually own the game at all. I doubt they're even on the legal documentation that they're the owners in any way. They legally don't have any rights to Forsaken.
It's all an extremely legally complex situation that should've been handled with lawyers from the very beginning. Not over Twitter or Discord. This game is worth a lot of money, and Soul outsmarted people by selling those rights while he still could.

To the surprise of no one, everyone's favorite green commentator has been milking out videos about the situation with Soul. One of them was exactly 8:02, just enough to get above that sweet 8 minute mark for revenue.
Parlo was very heavily involved in this situation from the start as he's made videos providing Soul a platform and defending him. The video published recently criticizes Parlo for not doing his due diligence and actually reading the documents people were putting out against Soul, where he claims he was "lied to". He wasn't, he just didn't bother to read. Instead of contacting people who claim they were mistreated by Soul, he instead provided a platform for him to come back up until recent.
One thing I find hilarious is that he'll make fun of some DMs that were leaked from Soul's private account. It's not like Parlo's leaked DMs were any better.

There's more to this from Soul's end, as his account was live tweeting puppy play roleplaying while there was minors following the account, but Parlo has to be a little tone deaf to make these jokes as he's been similarly weird in peoples DMs. All of this shows is that Parlo will flip his opinion at the flip of a switch if it means that people will view him poorly over it. He's been blocking people who rightfully call him out for this. He played a huge role here in platforming a questionable person, and this could've been prevented if he did his due diligence and researched further. Anyone hear about this roblox game called Grow a Garden? It recently got 10 million concurrent players during the last update and smashed records.
Honestly, for what it's worth; it's a pretty simple game to be the top game. You don't buy crazy microtransactions or anything, you just wait out a timer to buy more seeds and expand a garden. It's been accused of botting left and right, but there's videos of whole internet cafe's in other countries being filled with kids trying to play the game. It's definitely a very interesting change of pace for the front page of games.

I'm 99% sure it's botted. The game got an update and the player count immediately fell from 10 million to about 2 million, and I believe it's bots being kicked because of new anti-botting/anti-cheat systems being implemented. Still the biggest game on Roblox right now but there's no way that 10 million count wasn't at least 75% botted

For a "big popular game" it's the most boring shit I've seen and have played also there's no doubts it's been botted to get a false status of popularity, grow a garden with free assets and bots running around and I wouldn't be surprised if Roblox was somewhat in on this given that game generates Roblox big dollars.
Games back then getting millions of concurrent players was rare and very unheard but still possible and even in current years the most I've seen is 2million to just shy of 3 million concurrent players and for grow a garden and for the game that it is specially with it being popular as it is completely out of nowhere it wouldn't take a retard to even figure it out,
But hey it's thankfully not a dating game or condo game at least so there's that unless the devs get exposed for degenerate activities.

I gotta agree, I don't play much Roblox anymore but good fucking lord it was so boring I couldn't play it for more than five minutes. There's literally nothing to do in the game. At least other shitty games that make you sit around and wait have some objectives to do, or things that speed up the game, but the game is just "plant a thingy, then plant another thingy" with nothing else added to it. I do not understand how it's so popular.
