It’s like loads of people picture orcs being green because of warhammer, but Tolkien and DnD never specifically said that they were.
Doesn’t mean that middle earth orcs were not green, but being green skinned is a good indicator of being inhuman.
Ultima, Warcraft and the elder scrolls went with green orcs and goblins, so it’s sort of considered “canon” in everything, but a kid with no such frame of reference could still pick up lord of the rings in book form and picture orcs as grey or albino white.

Didn’t fuckshit Tennant have le problematic age gap relationship with the daughter of a former doctor? May even be the broad he married. Everyone was an adult so I don’t want to make too much of this but Tennant was quite a dirty stick so this latter incarnation is a lot to deal with.

Yeah that’s why I’m confused. I didn’t imply or even go near that. I made a point of saying the woman I was referencing was an adult but significantly younger than him. He liked to fuck younger women = dirty stick. That is at odds with his British King of Family Entertainment status nowadays. Thanks for not inserting pedo shit into my posts after the fact.

It was an interesting thought experiment when I was a tween/teen to discover biases (?) stereotypes (?) I wasn't even aware of. Like if you told me a character had a sword with no other description it would be a broadsword and I blame Brian Jacques for that one.

Calling it a “problematic age gap” relationship implies noncery afoot.
As long as she isn’t under 18, then it’s a non issue whether he is a king of light entertainment or not.
16 is the Uk age of consent, but generally speaking, a guy over 25 or so fucking a 16 year old is dangerous ground, especially if he is a public figure.
On the other hand though, no one would bat an eye at a 19 year old lass with a 40 year old light entertainment actor.
It’s a bit creepy sure, but not suspicious.

On places like Reddit, and I assume other hives of sum and villainy, the consensus seems to be that age gaps are always problematic but especially so if one party is under 25. Subs like r/popculturechat thrive on this, repeating the pop-science claim that frontal lobe development isn't complete until 25 so the younger person is basically a child. It's usually whining that men seem to like hot babes in their early 20s and a hilarious amount of complaining that actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson hooked up with a 42 year old women when he was 18. They never shut up about him being literally groomed.

I don't know about these specific posters but it's ResetEra, they daily have posts about how you should never contact the police because they'll murder whoever you contacted them about. They recently had a big drama because someone made a joke about how one of the jannies was going to get contacted by the FBI because of the crazy things they were saying. They "had" to ban this person and a bunch of others and talked about how this was putting the jannies life at risk because if that person was serious for even a single second the FBI might murder the janny for talking about wanting to eliminate Israel. Said janny also proudly posts about going to armed police abolition meetings ready to throw down with the cops.
They want the police to abuse and harass Rowling and make the process the part of the punishment. (They cheered it happening to Caroline Farrow.) Their complaint about the police has always been that it's abusing the "wrong" people.

David Tennant and his wife have a 13 year age gap, and she's the daughter of the fifth doctor actor. He's always been a massive doctor who nerd even before he became the doctor, I think they both are. There's one much older boy from a previous relationship that David adopted, but other that it's four girls and one boy (Wilfred) and the boy ids as non-binary. He's the middle child and also has very long hair like his sisters, so it might just be a 'girls have long hair' / middle child needs attention thing. He's named after the Doctor Who character Wilfred Mott, and also already followed his dad into acting, appearing on casualty aged 9.

Alan Rickman was good as ever but was really wrong for Snape. Yeah he was too old, but mostly it's that Rickman looks like a guy who has his shit together. Whereas book Snape was a greasy bug-eyed nerd with a massive, massive chip on his shoulder and incipient mental illness, and it's tragic he died before Twitter got going
