I know I'm a bit late on this one, but I must confess, I'd forgotten about this brickhon (it was a blissful existence!) until recently, when people in the Tranny Sideshows thread were showing his gross nudes. Council of Geeks, a.k.a. Vera Wylde, a.k.a. Nathaniel Wayne,
made a video over half an hour long about J.K. Rowling supposedly being 'a Nazi crime denialist' (because he can't technically call her a Holocaust denier, but you can tell he
really wants to).
He's really mansplainy in this video (as well you'd expect, him being a man and everything), but there was one part that stuck out to me, where he talks about why J.K. Rowling is wrong.
He begins by complaining that people are STILL (and there's a lot of barely repressed anger behind the way he enunciates that one syllable, lemme tell ya!) saying things like, "J.K. Rowling just doesn't understand, no one's explained it to her." He goes on a long tangent about how people
have explained it to her, and she just won't listen, presumably because she's an awful, hateful, evil person who just despises trans people.
He is seemingly genuinely unable to countenance the idea that actually, no, J.K. Rowling might just disagree with your beliefs, and that no matter how nicely you explain this bullshit to someone, they can still disagree with you and not buy into the bullshit, precisely because they can
see it's bullshit.
People have made comments before about how transactivism operates like a cult and this is one of those situations where it's hard to deny. It reminds me of nothing so much as someone who is so deeply invested in a cult that they've become genuinely unable to look at or process the world around them in a way that is outside of the cult's prescriptive worldview. It's like a Flat Earther, who just can't believe that the globeheads won't accept the obvious truth!
What he says next though, is really funny, because everything he says about how delusional beliefs are formed could very easily apply to everything he, and to a greater extent, the trans movement as a whole, says and does and he seems completely unaware of any of this. Starting from a premise and working your way backwards to post-hoc justify it, reality not matching your beliefs, so you attempt to change reality rather than change your worldview - that's tranny shit.
