Old post but r/youtubedrama still believes rubens a pedo and is using this as some type of proof.

They get so mad when a guy starts calling out pedo furries. Always with projection.
For redditors always demanding a 'source' they sure seem to want to safeguard information that could prove or disprove their statements. i.e. the name censoring.
Also this comment under the reddit post:
Excuse my language, but what fucking user data? All ro-cleaner does is scan what servers someone is in, and determines if those servers are NSFW. Banning them from the server that is using ro-cleaner. In Discord
there's this thing called 'mutual servers' that allow a user to view what servers another user is in. But it doesn't show all their servers. Even then,
Discord themselves should already know what exact servers your in, right?
Why is it different when a plugin does it? Does a server list suddenly become 'user data'? I'm sure there are other plugins out there maybe on Discord or even more so on github, that allow users to see what servers someone partakes in, so how is ro-cleaner any different? Is it different because it bans them? Probably not, because if you had one of these server viewing plugins, you could just ban them normally.
IMO, It's not scanning any user data, seeing what servers someone is in is barely, if at all, 'user data'. User data would be something more like
personal info, i.e. system information, real name, email address, mailing address, or other personal info that ro-cleaner never scans. As said before, ro-cleaner's ban was more or less Discord and or other parties finding a loophole in the TOS to get it removed. Even if ro-cleaner is somehow 'breaching user privacy' by allowing a server owner or user of the plugin to see what NSFW servers someone was in, the mere existence of a plugin like this really does show how insanely dangerous it is for people not to be allowed to know that one of the members in a server is potentially a threat to children.
Imagine that a server meant for children, had 1200 members. Ages 12-17. For each 12 or so members, there is someone who is over or is the age of 18
(usually age of consent in most states is 18, excluding 29 other states which have it at 16) and is in a NSFW server. That is 100 possible suspects who could endanger children.
In other words, it's terrifying. A server owner basically knows nothing about these suspects habits or what servers they frequent. These suspects could DM (direct message) other members, engaging in explicit activity, and the server owner would be none the wiser until a victim comes out, because DMs are closed communications between two people. This is why Discord has a serious security issue when it comes to children in general. Because discord doesn't ban these people because they aren't monitoring their DMs (as far as we know). So these suspects could keep on getting away with it because they aren't assumed to be threats by the server owner or any other authority able to ban these people.
In a way, ro-cleaner provides a way for server owners to protect their server where Discord has failed to. The plugin highlights Discord's terrible moderation and manages to provide a solution to keep communities of children safe. Even if it's as small as letting server owners find out what other servers someone is in.
Also, this moron is actually saying 'collects user data' unironically when talking about Discord of all things? I'm sure Discord
knows for sure what servers a user is in, so how is this any different? But you know:
'"ro-cleaner endangers user privacy... B-but Discord has a right to view your server lists, not a stupid plugin!'" Alright.
I know there is a small minority of people out there who would say that ro-cleaner somehow might be in violation of the
4th and
5th amendment. Which I would argue is different when it comes to the possibility of child endangerment.
Especially online, where it is WAY different then reality. I think everyone has a right to be secure and not have to answer to anyone, possible criminals included,
but child exploiters give up their rights when they harm children.
And especially on Discord of all things, where user data is already known by the company, that includes server lists most likely.
If Discord knows that these people are in NSFW servers and also inhabit servers for children, they should be doing something about it. Not just punishing those who dare try to fix the problem in a way that 'violates' their TOS.
