russell has long been paying for one of those “reputation defender” services (i forget whether it was a facebook post or a plightsperg in a court case or what where he was complaining about how he had to use one, it was forever ago) to only show things he believes are positive about him when you google his name. when i found those minutes from that city council meeting somewhere in nevada many months ago, i REALLY had to dig. most people just doing a cursory google search will only see the things he thinks are fine to be seen about him. they AREN’T fine, of course, but they’re the “least worst” (in his mind).

edit: as an example, before he started using that service, this thread was among the top results for a quoted google search of his name. it’s much further on down in the search results now.
